I heard it. His tone and words did come off as someone who wanted to keep Frost. But I’m not going to read too much into it. Might just be overcompensating for the gloomy outlook he provided earlier in the week.
I ain't Linking s*** look for it yourself why the hell would I come on here and lie about what Ted Carter said at halftime. I don't care one way or the other

Carter all but confirmed it at halftime! Saying we have a "Great Coach" !!
As he should be. The program is getting close and improving. Can't keep firing coaches and ADs every 3-4 years and expect results.

Good grief, you take that for a retention speech? If frost was 100% coming back next year amid all the swirling rumors, he would have just said “we are close, can’t wait to see what Frost does next year.” That simple really.

What would you expect him to say? Everybody’s coach is doing a great job and has his employer’s utmost confidence, right up to the day they are canned.
bingo. been that way for decades. Several years ago an AD put out a statement of support and the next day the head coach was fired. It was hilarious since nobody believed the AD the day prior.

Except Alberts will not comment on a coach's status during the season one way or the other so even if he is being retained or fired Albert's ain't saying nothing and Ted Carter sure as hell ain't going to say anything. Just from the way he said it and the guy I was riding with we both agreed and it sounded like he's going to be retained.

FWIW, i think they will keep him regardless of the outcome of these last two games. Doesn’t mean i think its the right decision and also doesn’t mean I won’t be rooting for Nebraska next year. I’m a fan no matter who is coaching. But we’ve pretty much sucked with him as a head coach. I haven’t been to a game or purchased any Husker gear since year one.

Now you are just getting angry. Leadership always show support until the moment they are fired. Its the way things operate, OP. You will learn that after you get past your 21 years of age.

I won't be upset if they keep him on for another season but it's not something I prefer to see at this point.

Someone else already linked it for you.. but when you make claims on a message board, you should back them up.. just for future reference

GG, this place has become more toxic than the water in Flint, MI.

SF is coming back next year. Deal with it.

and if he gets fired after going 3-9 since this team is not going to beat WI, you going to show up in the firing thread so I can make fun of you?
Dude he said take it for what its worth.. you are the biggest tool on this board and have zero room to make fun of anybody

And yet, a guy like Mel Tucker can take over a bottoming out program like Michigan State and have them contending in less than 2 years.

Most coaches don’t need 5 years to reach .500 and maybe—maybe—beat Purdue and Illinois. And most programs wouldn’t grant it.

Most coaches don't walk right into a good situation, post Dantonio. *rolls eyes*

Also. That season record is Cal level deceiving.

We fired Riley after 3 years and he won more games than Frost has won in 4. He absolutely does NOT deserve a 5th year, period.

Yes but he didn't have to go out of his way to praise Frost either. Give it a rest. Unless we get blown out in our last games I can see Frost being retained. And if he is, then we need to support him 100%

Even if we lose one or both?

No. We would need to win out from here in my view. But even then I think he should be fired. All I am saying is that I can see him being retained if we are competitive. And if he is then we need to support him.
But this decision should look at his stupid losses to Illinois Purdue and Minny too.

So Frost says Adrian has a broken jaw and high ankle sprain. What an indictment on recruiting and QB development that literally a guy with a broken jaw and high ankle sprain is your best option at QB. But also, why are you running the QB so much when he's got a broken jaw and high ankle sprain?

"After further review, targeting has been confirmed. Frozone has been ejected from HuskerOnline.com"
Lol. But seriously, go look at Dantonio’s last couple years there. They had an offense worse than ours because he wouldn’t fire his friends and their fans were trying to run him out of town on a rail. There were off the field problems as well.

Right, Frost ran a QB draw with him on 3rd and 7 the same drive AM tweaked his ankle. Either you are lying Scott or you are an idiot. Those are the only two options

Frost sucks! If they retain Frost, Nebraska's Administration deserves "Loss of Control" Sanctions.
The problem is that you just can't wave a magic wand and replace Frost with the next Nick Saban. Coaching stability is crucial for a program - especially one that's trying to return to its blueblood status.

Yes, your record is disappointing but take into account your losses - 4 of them to current BCS top 10 teams - OSU by 9. Oklahoma by 7, Michigan by 3, and MSU by 3 (overtime). You guys are close and if you travel around the other boards, many consider NU the school nobody wants to play.

I really consider Frost as a good coach. In the games I've watched this year, you're problem seems to be your QB - Martinez. He just seems to self implode at crucial times. I still can't believe that absolutely inexcusable late fumble against Michigan when you had that game won.

We are going to see what kind of AD Trev is. Let's hope it isn't, "Lets see...4-8, 5-7, 3-5, and 3-7. Alright boys, this sounds like a guy I want to keep riding with." If so, hiring an AD from the all-mighty powerhouse that is UNO, probably wasn't such a good idea. We will soon see what kind of nuts he has. And this firing doesn't even require nuts.

Special teams and OL are not good, defense plays good against good teams but mediocre to bad at times against middling teams. We play hard but find ways to lose. A unicorn QB could hide this somewhat but there are several problems.
