What a bizarre thing to say. Honestly not even sure what that would look like, I guess we will have to take your word for it.
Come on now, I am almost always in agreement with you. But this presser seemed different.

Nikki's description may be a bit graphic, but I could see how it looks like he just had a really uncomfortable conversation prior to going out there today.

Im on the fence with it. One sense is the media asks the most ignorant questions and will ask them 8 different ways until you say what they want to hear. But then most coaches that are dicks to the media usually have bad juju come their way. Ya know....like NCAA investigations.

He was fine. Not many warm fuzzies, that's for sure though.

I think he just didn't want to say anything stupid or cocky, as we are all tired of that shtick. Just win coach!!

Does any other fan base diagnose the crap out of a preseason coaches press conference? I hope this makes the evening news.

Yes, most any fanbase that gives a ****. When you don't it is usually from complete apathy.

We obviously aren't there yet based on these responses, but I imagine we aren't far off.

The picture the OWH used on Twitter with their story was bush league.
If Scott didn’t stand there, arms crossed at the press conference, looking like a petulant child who got caught, there wouldn’t have been a picture to take and post.

Feel free to discount what I am saying due to numbers of posts, but there are enough former players and people connected to the program all referencing the same off the field behaviors with Frost to think where there is smoke, there is fire.

Moos gave Frost the impression that he was untouchable and it appears that absolute power has corrupted him. But now Trev is there, it’s becoming obvious that Frost isn’t liking being held accountable to performance standards or departmental rules.

His comment about never making a call about the OU game was laughable. Of course he didn’t, instead he just told his recently fired best buddy to make the calls.

Hopefully Scott can win, take direction from Trev, humble himself, and get his off-the-field issues in order and still become the coach we all hoped he could be….but I don’t know if he has it in him. I hope he proves me wrong.

The people getting worked up for this are the same idiots that would get worked up over "best practice ever" stuff. Idiots being idiots.

The one I'm referring to was not at the press conference

His description is beyond idiotic and frankly disturbing.

Yes, it was different. It seems clear he is not going to give the media much info right now, which I am fine with. He has given plenty of honest assessments the last several years, that just brought him headaches. It is interesting to see many of the “shut up and play” posters that get upset about the great week of practice type comments, somehow upset by this too.

My guess is that Trev had a conversation with Frost about not giving opponents bulletin board material, etc. which was probably over due.

I wonder if Frost watches the press conference, leans over to Lubick, and says…that is the best news conference I have done since I have been here. Winking

it would look exactly like the post-michigan(2018), purdue(2018), wisconsin(2018), ohiost(2019) minn(2019), wisc(2019), ohiost(2020), and illinois(2020) pressers did.

you know, right after having his sh*t pushed in.

So like after losing a football game…..OK.

No it didn’t seem like that, at all, just like a coach giving short answers to the media.

I didn't watch & probably won't because, well, I don't really care

but we've absolutely seen what Frost looks like after being sodomized (roughly 3x per year since 2018)

John Cook started off and was also super angry at the press. Something is going on behind the s scenes with the head coaches and the press. Obviously somebody leaked info that got the football program in hot water.

Also wore a polo shirt and didn’t have a hat on or a dip in. The Alberts effect.

John Cook didn’t look/sound super angry to me. He sounded like a coach confident in his players, his own abilities, and the upcoming season.

I’m happy with it I’m tired of our best week of practice or some other bs, I remember TO he was vague
sometimes told a joke or two but nothing of substance he knew if you start boasting your words come back to haunt you

The press is poison to this team and I'm sick of it. All they want is doom and gloom. That's what sells.. You know what? How bout every time the head coach gets replaced, the press gets replaced too. So sick of their bs antics.

its perplexing to me that whenever it comes to coaches at N, the ‘media’ suddenly become s the ‘little sisters of the poor’.
that being said, Scott, you gotta start winning. like, now.

Finally decided to watch it. I haven’t watched any of his press conferences before, living in Minnesota… I usually read stuff here.

I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I didn’t find it all that bad. Short answers, not much fluff… maybe that’s uncharacteristic, but nothing to be worried about in my mind. Could be a good thing.

As with the rest of husker nation, I’m more worried about the game than the press conference. But since there aren’t any games played yet, this is what we are left to do. So I guess it’s fair game. I just don’t see it as being an issue. IMO.

He is coming off as a little Pelinish. If I remember that didn’t work out too well for Bo.
That’s exactly what I told a buddy earlier. For a brief moment, I thought I was listening to Bo.

Probably the best press conference he’s had. Short, and didn’t make any ridiculous statements like “this was the best week of practice we’ve ever had” or “We’re about to turn the corner” or “He’s just a little nicked up” (when in reality that player needs season ending surgery).

I don’t care about this PC so long as Scott takes us to the postseason this year.

Postseason means winning more close games. Winning close games means better attention to detail, less stupid turnovers, an improved Offensive Line and smart QB play. All of that means a better chance to win the West.
