Got about as good of news as they could, he is day to day, no real ligament damage at all.
Should not play. Go with Bunch.

Exactly. To compare, Troy's QB Barker was an NR per Rivals and a 2* per 24/7. If we lose the game, it likely won't be because Bunch was the QB.
Exactly.
And to be clear... my worry isn't with Bunch. It is what happens if Bunch goes down. Yikes.

I would think there will be a recovery period of at least a couple of weeks. What we know for sure is that his injury was not judged to be season ending.I seem to recall Frost once indicated that he tends to give out the absolute minimum on injuries, not unlike most pro and college coaches. So it could well be coach speak. All we can do is wait and see and hope the backups do ok.
Damn Riley. Damn Eichorst. It is their fault we lost.We should have never hired Riley... Damn Eichorst![]()
Neglected to add that. Bunch is not ideal for Frost's offense, but he appears to work hard on his game and has played at the level of much higher regarded QBs in Gebbia and POB. He doesn't have the special sauce of a Martinez, but he should be able to get the job done against Troy.Bunch was a 3 star

You are not dealing with "most" coached! SF does not go runningLet’s hope he’s not doing coach speak. Some coaches have been known to down play or overstate injuries so teams don’t know what to prep for.
As for this weekend & Troy let’s hope the team is taking it more serious then fans are. The game still has to be played and there are no guarantees
But we have a 4 page thread that says the opposite of that.
More importantly, Bunch’s teammates and coaches believe he can get the job done, and so do I.Exactly.

Agreed! He is not the QB to get our program to the next level but he is not the typical walk-on QB.Neglected to add that. Maybe not ideal, but he can run. From Huskers.com on his senior year in HS: "As a senior in 2015, Bunch helped Independence and Coach Scott Blade to a 15-0 record and the Tennessee Division I Class 5A state title. He had 3,405 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 520 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns." He looked pretty good to me in the spring game and looked good to me SaturdayNeglected to add that. Play Bunch and put AM in of things get too close. There will be pressure from the kid to play ASAP. It is incumbent on the coaches to resist the temptation to suit him up before he is ready. But in Frost, you have a hyper-competitive guy, so it will be hard. And the med-staff and trainers will likely follow the guidelines, so when he is cleared he can play.
Also said Bunch, Masker and possibly someone else will be getting lots of reps this week.

What else did you talk to him aboutFrost believes there is a reason that Amart didn't have a tear, and that was the training methods, and their physical preparation methods.
