A week or 2 ago Frost said he was going to meet with Mo the next day to come to a resolution. I am assuming they had that meeting. Has anything been said by Frost as to how that meeting went? If no, Im surprised nothing has been mentioned yet.

Sentenced to 10 hail Frosts. And forced to watch 100 years of Iowa football. Can he handle it??Sick

Are there any Iowa fans that have watched 100 years of their program? No, cuz its a death sentence.

I'll let myself out.

Just guessing that if there was news we may have seen one small post with no opinion on here. Maybe

I kinda think no news is good news here. If he was transferring or kicked off the team permanently, I think it would have come out by now and he would be in the portal.

Kind of the way I am leaning as well. Could be waiting to see what happens with the trail to make a final decision. If he was kicked of already, yes I think it would have been mentioned and he would be in the portal. My guess is if trial comes out in Mos favor he will be back with the team.

One thing is if mo stays with the team, he better grow up fast, simply because they have some depth at running back now and mo can’t jerk them around like he did last fall. The coaches simply will just say your done!!!

Yep, we have other options now. Mills is more comfortable in our scheme and will have a full offseason here. The two redshirt freshman guys will compete for serious playing time and the two true freshman look to contribute right away. Plus Wandale...

The room will be a lot deeper and will allow Frost to use Wandale more sparingly at RB. Mo could be a nice piece of that puzzle. Not a bring home the groceries kind of RB, but a guy the defense has to account for on the perimeter. Get him in the slot with Mills at RB.

That or even as a slot receiver.

agreed. Now that Mills has came into his own and guys like R. Johnson, R Thompkins, Savion Morrison and M Scott 3 are ready to roll...Maurice Washington would be a deadly WR or Slot WR...hell the Spot Wan’Dale Robinson plays. I’m game for us keeping all game changers we can get. GBR

Washington, JD, Wandale all probably best there.

I love thought of these line ups:

O Manning WR, JD Speilman Slot WR, W Robinson Slot WR, and Maurice Washington WR....good luck DBs...

Or

O Manning WR, Maurice Washington Slot, W Robinson slot and Z Betts WR.

Or better yet...:)

O Manning WR, JD Speilman slot, Maurice Washington slot, Z Betts WR and Wan’dale Robinson coming out of the back field...;)

I could see us leaving the TE on the sideline and running more 4-5 WR sets. With the versatility of Wandale, JD, Wash (if he plays) it would allow us to go from 4-5 wide to one back, or split backs without changing personnel.

same thing I was thinking unless it’s Hicks. He’s more of a really big WR at this point in time.

I think since joining the BIG, Nebraska has had potential to lead the BIG in one area or another every year. The issue has been actually developing and coaching that talent to do it.

Good coaching can do anything. A guy doesn't go to class, the coach makes him go to class. The guy doesn't want to study, the coach makes him study. The guy doesn't follow team rules, the coach makes him follow team rules. The guy gets in trouble with the law, the coach covers it up. The guy isn't a good teammate, the coach makes the rest of the team understand he is special. For special guys we have to make exceptions. The rest of the team doesn't like it and gets a bad attitude, the coach gives a pep talk and everybody loves the special guys again.
Yep, the only thing needed is good coaching.

No news probably means no final decision was made yet. I'd guess Mo was told to think things over during the Holiday break and to decide if he wanted to comply with Frost's terms and conditions to return to the team or not. So I'd expect a final decision by or at the start of the second semester.

If I was Scott Frost I'd tell Mo this. You will eat three times a day at the training table, just like every other player. You will lift everyday at 6am just like every other player. You will attend class just like every other player. And if I smell weed on you you are done. No exceptions.

there was this very successful D1 football coach with national championships to show for it. he was giving a speech and he said this. "many people think of me as a great motivator. I'm not really a great motivator. I simply get rid of the players and coaches that aren't motivated"

Don't know if this is supposed to be sarcastic or not but I agree completely. Frost seems like the type of coach who believes you either have it or you don't. However I think there are plenty of kids in that in-between stage where they need a little extra motivation to become good players and good teammates on and off the field. And a coach should provide that extra level of support if they can. And I don't like it, but reality is special players do get exceptions that others don't. However with Mo Wash, I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze. His situation is very serious, he's not a good enough player, and with his attitude I don't think he'll live up to the talent people think he has. All he's doing right now is hurting team chemistry imo.

We will find out soon enough. If we have him still, I’m more then fine with it. Dudes a elite talent. But if not, I completely understand why he was let go. And if he doesn’t return, I hope he ends up in the PAC 12, Big 12 or SEC. Definitely not another BIG 10 team.

Edited: If they do bring him back, this is what I’d do. My idea on how to handle this situation, assuming M Washington agreed to it. I’d make him use a redshirt year next season and make him start from the bottom and work his *** off that whole redshirt year and make him earn his teams trust, coaches trust, show them all he’s got his head on right now and focused and all that. That will also let him grow in the S&C and that part of the game too. Then once his redshirt year is over after next season, assuming he’s done everything asked of him, let him come back completely and compete for what ever position he’s going to play (RB, Duck R, or WR).

I would rather they remove the losing cancer that is AM.. losing is contagious. MW and others don’t want to hang or be around losers either. Who would? You?

While some might scoff at this notion because it puts everything on it’s head, I find this much more closer to actual reality than pretending everything else is some sort of problem in the program.

I don’t want to be on a team that sucks over and over again because that might rub off on me.

Not to say Mo is perfect either, but it appears the cancer can suck on game days and get away with all kinds of stuff, so why not everyone else?

You are the company you keep right?

If he comes back and does everything right from the time where him and Frost agree would make redshirting next year an overkill. Take and embrace what he gives if he is at the point to give 100%.

that was my thoughts and it would allow Washington a full year to prove himself to everyone (players and staff) that he CAN do it and CAN keep his head on right. We will see soon how Frost and the University handle his situation. I’ll back it regardless of the outcome.
