Reading the bigger, faster, stronger thread set me to thinking.
Those are all critical elements but doesn't quite translate to Frost Fast. I just have a feeling last year was a get acquainted time for the offense. As I remember UCF offense running much faster tempo wise.
Anyway, came across this article on a clinic
Frost conducted at UCF
Hope we can be close to the goals espoused.
In 2016, UCF averaged 350 yards and 24 PPG.
True Freshman QB Mackenzie Milton threw for just under 2,000 yards with 10 TDs and 7 Interceptions.
Their leading rusher in 2016 had 495 yards rushing. Frost recruited over him and he was relegated to 4th string by 2017.
Their #2 and #3 leading receivers in 2016, both starters, were also overtaken by newcomers and relegated to reserve roles in 2017.
In the 2016 and 2017 recruiting classes, Frost and staff brought in the following Skill players to UCF:
QB Mackenzie Milton
RB Adrian Killins
RB Otis Anderson
RB Greg McCrae (Walk on brought in by Frost who ran for 1200 yards in 2018)
WR Dedrick Snelson
WR Gabriel Davis
WR Marlon Williams
By year two, those players above accounted for UCF's #1 Passer, top 3 rushers, #2,#3, and #4 receivers.
The 2017 team averaged 530 yards and 47 points per game.
Players brought in by Frost in 2018-19 to Nebraska:
QB Adrian Martinez
RB Maurice Washington
RB Dedrick Mills
RB Rahmir Johnson
WR Andre Hunt
WR Wandale Robinson
WR Miles Jones
WR Demarioyan Houston
WR Jeremy Nance
WR Darien Chase
I think its completely reasonable that Nebraska makes a similar jump "offensively" from year one to year two.
