2015 was our last final four. At that point Cal’s tenure at Uk had been a successful one. At that point, not one of us thought he needed to go. Eight years later, the fan base has grown restless. What has changed since his first six years at UK?

What has been different from those early Cal years is recruiting. This year’s team was centered around transfer portal players. That is not going to win championships.

Next year’s class coming in is ridiculous. Potentially the best since Cal got here. Mix in some talented new faces and some returning vets and we might have something.

I am not happy with how things turned out today, but let’s not lash out at a bunch of 18, 19, or 20 year old kids. They gave it their best and came up short. Blame coaching, not the kids. Im not a big Cal supporter, but he is our coach and he’s not going anywhere soon. Let’s hope this next class coming in makes all this go away.

If he doesn't get more talent on this roster, we will be thin once again come next March.

This team couldn't endure a PG demotion, CJ's multiple injuries, and Wallace being out.

What is our postseason record since 2015?

Other teams seem to do pretty well with transfer players. So that is a lame argument.

For any Cal fan left, you have to agree that next year is his last chance, right? All I’ve seen the last few years when we lose is the players aren’t talented enough. So, next year he has the top class again, so it should be like 10-15 again?

What are you going be saying when we’re in the same position this time next year?

2015 was the turning point where winning became too hard

Getting rich was much easier

Any many have over the last 8 years

Just not the fans

I’ve been a UK fan since the mid-70’s. I think I only watched 2-3 games this year, and I’m glad of that. That’s how done I am with all this.

That’s not something I’m happy about. UK basketball is something that brought me joy for many, many years, but folks we are at a point where - inarguably - Kansas State, Kansas F@cking State - not Kansas - Kansas State is inarguably a more successful basketball team than we have been over the last several years.

That is completely and totally unacceptable. Something needs to change.
