Obviously a lot of people work the day after Thanksgiving (BLACK Friday)... So why not try to have the game after 5pm .. There would be a lot more opportunity for fans to see it live instead of having to record it and avoid social media, text messages ECT.. to avoid ruining the surprise of how the game turns out... JMO..End of rant.. GBR!!

Agree, I am so tired of these 11am games.

I expected it to continue to be the 11am game as it has been before.. It just sux for those working that day every year..

I'd rather have it start at 2:00 pm during thanksgiving day dinner.
if we do bad I can leave early, if we do good there's plenty to talk about.

<< FIO, not trying to be combative >> This is the first time since 2014 it has been an 11am game. Start times with Iowa since we joined the Big Ten:

2011: 11:00am ABC
2012: 11:00am ABC
2013: 11:00am ABC
2014: 11:00am ABC
2015: 2:30pm ABC
2016: 2:30pm ABC
2017: 3:00 FOX

I stand corrected.. For some reason was thinking it usually was an 11am game..

We used to be about the only game on Friday. Networks are maximizing their$$. No matter how successful we get, we might still get crappy time slots. They could televise us at 2am and we would break viewing records

Don't give the networks ideas. :)

I remember the PPV days when there seemed to be a conspiracy theory that because NU fans will watch no matter what, we'd be on PPV just for a few more dollars to be made while other Big 12 schools playing crappy non-conference games would be on OTA or cable.

I was able to move my shifts around at Walmart. I’m gonna be working tonight so I can watch the game tomorrow

I agree, what about Ohio state and Michigan if I were a fan of either I'd be pissed on fox at 11 am Saturday morning. What ever happened to playing it on 2:30 on abc, heck years ago it would be NU OU Ohio state Michigan on the same time regionally televised. It's almost like that game is becoming a thing of the past like the red river shoot out with tu and OU

yes .. I should have been more specific .. if Nebraska and/or Iowa are consistently of national relevance I believe there might be more consideration for improved time slots .. as it stands, the only program that has entered this game since we joined the BIG with any type of national relevance has been Iowa

They could. Or they haven’t gotten the ratings they have been looking for the past few years. I do think that 11 AM on Black Friday is different than 11 AM on a regular Saturday if that makes sense.

Actually, most of America doesn't work on Black Friday.

And this game involves a 4-7 Nebraska vs. 7 win Iowa team which hasn't beaten a Big Ten team with a winning record.

Nobody outside of Nebraska or Iowa fans will care to watch regardless of kickoff time.

Its her voice... there is just something about her voice that i cant stand... like that scene from step brothers.. there s just something about your face i just wanna deliver one of these to your suckhole...

Further, FOX and the media want to draw viewers.
