Starting a thread to post freshman numbers from the first day/week of practice. Curious which schools having the biggest turnout.

WWS had 65 kids everyday at camp over the summer and ordered more equipment since they were expecting more kids to show up on the first day, they haven’t had more then 45 kids in 7-8 years. Youth numbers in the feeder program are also up about 35%.
“Low 60’s” I was told for the MC Caravan. They are supposed to get a few more next week so I guess that will move them to the mid 60’s.

.I don’t get it.I remember when each year all but 1 or 2 Illini 8 & Sica school plus others would have a Frosh A&B team,Soph,Varsity & JV.But now those days are gone
We have been having 60-65 athletes and 18 freshmen have came out so far at Clark.
Even military recruitment is far below its target levels due to a combination of disinterest and disqualification for health, substance and background reasons. The world that has been created has not been kind to youth.
Does anyone know any schools with a surplus of helmets that they can sell. Especially S, XL n 2XL. We are in need of about 20. Riddell doesnt have any until Oct. And Schutt doesnt have parts.

Have you checked the thread with the school’s that folded their teams? I’m sure some will hang on to some gear for any JV teams they end up with, or some will donate/sell it to the local youth program if there is one. But you might get lucky contacting one of those programs.
I think Coal City has 41 Freshman which is great
Marist has a frosh who is 6'7 320
At 13/14 yrs old that’s unbelievable...I’ll have to check out that MC/ Marist freshman game and get a look see at this kid!

That would be a shock. Last year they list a total of 25 freshmen in the program.
My son and I just finished his football camp and he can’t wait to try out for Maine South one day. Granted, he’s only 4 so have a few years to go. Ha.
Those sizes are impressive.However I recall in 82 Joliet Central had a massive line & even got a write up in the Sun Times & a pic.Slow as snail poop & biggest wussies ever.Finished 1-8.Reavis who won State that year was half their size but knocking them on their butts the whole game & running past them left & right.Steelmen were gassed before half
The combination of 3800 students and a state championship last season should point to some good freshman numbers.

Yup. School starts Tuesday, imagine that number will go up some still. Finish around 80
I asked a buddy who has a kid who is a freshman, this kid is legit good I guess, one of these kids who hits the training camp and showcase circuits and is turning heads. They brought Carnell Tate up as a Freshman I don’t see this kid playing freshman for long
No that's entirely false, but it is a very large Naz class, I think around 60.
