No, no. I was specifically told on this board that Sankey wouldn't let Saban hire Freeze as a consultant last year. But now he is going to likely be hired by UT or AU? I have a feeling Sankey didn't tell Saban squat.

Tennessee doesn't make much sense. Don't see Pruitt wanting to go that route with offense, unless he just wants to stay away and let Freeze control the offense and put up big points. Freeze to Auburn makes a little more sense although I think Freeze his last few years wanted to throw it a lot more than what Gus wants to do. Gus wants to run the wildcat with throws sprinkled in. Freeze is more homerun play style.

I don't really know if Sankey said anything to Saban or not, but it would have been a bad look last year with the sanctions against UMiss and Freeze still unknown. Since Freeze did not receive a show cause order, that may have opened up the door to let him be hired somewhere this year.

Freeze’s Show Clause is over... if Sankey is blackballing him, there are some Benton County Mississippi Lawyers that would love to handle the case for him....but on other hand, By-laws is By-laws.... and the By-law is Sankey would have to approve Freeze being hired.
