Freeze altercation with enforcement staff

listening to bounds this morning and a guy on there talked about freeze getting into it with the NCAA staff. Does anyone have anymore information on this or know of any articles? That sounds about on par for him when they question his umm "integrity".

Saw an article somewhere that his interview with the NCAA didn't go well, that it got personal and confrontational. Don't think the article got much more specific than that. And of course, I have no idea now where I saw that. But if you can't trust a stranger on an anonymous message board with some vague recollection of reading something somewhere as a rock solid source, who can you trust?

That's another great point in regards to the lunacy that follows Freeze. This is not his first ncaa rodeo.


This must be in reference to a recent altercation. I was thinking it was related to his ncaa stuff from a few years ago.

I believe Yancypants discussed this some. If my memory serves me well Hugh didn't take it well when the NCAA guy hinted that some assistants might need to find other employments. So Hugh dug in, rallied OM to dig in, and now we are here. Squarely in High Cotton.

I read here too. It said there was a confrontation with one of the staff. Didn't have any real details.

Made it sound as if Freeze had let some staff go in beginning of investigation, TSUN wouldn't be in this situation. Instead he told them no and that he was right.

I suppose you have to admire him for standing up for his staff, if that's what happened.

The article I read said Freeze is very defensive by nature and that led to

problems with the investigators right off the bat. I think we have all seen that in the past with his Twitter journey.

That is like you see on COPs when the "suspects" get chippy with the cops. What do they plan to accomplish here? Recognize authority and discuss things like a human being.
If nothing else, you'll arrive to jail without your eyes all purple, your brand-new Dollar General tank top all bloody, and your face throbbing in pain.

If there is one single aggravating factor that is the reason the NCAA has gone full court press on OM, the unwillingness in the beginning of letting assistants go is probably their Waterloo.

But your point is not lost Shmuley. Friends close and enemies closer and all.

I dont get the lack of pragmatism here though. Is there a scenario that keeping Freeze helps? Good Lord above. Why havent they just paid him to go away and thanked him for the service? There is no chance they get anything mitigated as long as he's there. If it were MSU and the coach was innocent I'd still be for sending him off.

Yea, I know they are a delusional fanbase and all, but certainly there must be some level headed person that is advising them to cut their losses before this hearing becomes the Nuremberg trials.

Shmuley, I know you are well versed in this. What could they possibly be gaining by staying with this staff?
