I turned the game off somewhere between the weak a$$ 3pt attempt and him trying to back down Haas in the lane. Right about when Thiam dribbled the ball off his foot.

Freeman is the key to Rutgers turning this around and getting 5 or 6 B1G games. Unfortunately things seem to be spiraling out of control and quite frankly Pikiell can't or doesn't want to control him.

His FG% in 5 top 100 games 19-71 26.8%
His half court defense has been nothing short of attrocious
He never passes out of the low post in the rare times he is there
Never has a kind thing to say during a game to Duoocure
Nothing is ever his fault

I think Pikiell is afraid of losing Freeman, but at some point he has to put his foot down. This guy is killing us.

What has he said to Docoure that you heard? Sounds interesting!

A lot of the teams issues right now are players that will be gone by next year. Looking at the season Carter is having, I expect a little different. He is still playing basketball, and plays it at a very reasonable level. He will replace Freeman. I am not sure if Freeman can be reprogrammed right now.

He is playing like a desperate senior trying to get drafted when he realistically has no chance. He is trying to take games over when he can’t, he didn’t buy in to the team concept and it’s quite evident.

I agree 100% and have been saying so for the last 3 weeks. It’s one thing for a jump shooting guard to shoot 35-40%, but good PF’s need to shoot 60%, especially with all of the point blank looks our offense generates for Freeman. I’d rather see Pike develop Eugene and cut Freeman’s minutes. Make no mistake, RU’s problems run far deeper than Freeman, but he may be the biggest problem, so let’s start there!
