Miikka Muurinen, Milan Momcilovic, or failure.
I’m going to go ahead and state my controversial opinion that Momcilovic isn’t the program savior level player some people are starting to wishcast him as.

He’s basically a rich man’s Koby Brea. Incredible three point percentage on a super high volume, but that’s pretty much all he does. He can’t attack the basket very well even against aggressive close outs because he’s slow and doesn’t have a great handle and isn’t a particularly creative passer either, although he at least isn’t turnover prone. He also doesn’t rebound much for his size, and although Iowa State hid him really effectively with their system and surrounding cast, scouts aren’t high on his defense. He’s a good player who would definitely make our offense better with his shooting, but he’s not really the type of guy who can take over a game on his own. Even if we could get him, it’s not going to put us in contention for much if we can’t surround him with a better team than what we’re heading towards.

Sad state of affairs for UK ball. Also there goes another of the guys Stokes allegedly hand picked for who he wanted to play with.

Like I said in the thread, I don't even have the heart to make fun of Pope or do the whiff **** anymore. Sad sad sad.
I have never seen it posted anywhere that Stokes handpicked anyone he wanted to play with. Quit making up BS.

I agree that he isn't going to save us from the fiery pits of hell, but the talent pool left over is sooo weak now, he looks like a golden nugget in a big bowl of turds. Realistically you gotta land a legit SF next to him and that doesn't look possible anymore either.

Agree. He’s a one trick pony whose trick is very good. But I think it’s crazy that he would get huge money. Much rather put that money into Graves. But who am I kidding. We’re getting neither.

I'm saying the reaction to Rancik is crazy, it was 5th option PF to begin with, a backup, a non-needle moving pickup, it'd be like bringing in Andrija Jelavic. The season would pretty much have similar results.
He’s a lot better that Jelavic, but yes he would’ve been a backup, a pretty good one. Doesn’t really matter much now.

Muurinen might just be odd enough to gel with Pope, or a big enough pain in the arse to help get Pope fired. Either might be a good result.

Im at the point where I just want some dude to come in and at least entertain me if we're losing.

Wild times for sure, huge disconnect clearly. I didn’t want Freeman but to royally mess up twice is a bad look we can’t afford as a University. Time to make a big move is now.
Told ya not to guarantee a commit with pope as the coach. I don’t care who told ya or what the % is. This dude can **** up any recruitment out there.

I wish the Johnnies and Pitino failure, but not necessarily because they signed Freeman. That is not on Rick, that is on Pope. I still don't trust Rick (even though I appreciate what he did when here). Heck, might even end up thanking him if Pope fails and doesn't make it to year 5.

Going to be a long year. At least we all have each other. Misery does love company!

We will get straight trash like Mcbride. Is that better?
3 mil for a guy that over 2 seasons has played a combined 37 games with the same injury on 2 losing teams vs potentially 2 guys that may not be as highly touted but can give serviceable minutes, yea I’d say that’s better.
