Any time the game is played at Freedom there is always a chance for upset.
You know you’re at Freedom when the visiting team has more penalty yards than offensive yards by halftime

Yeah, it’s a regular hotbed of football until the second round. That first round is exhilarating for Mountain area basketball coaches!
basketball practice in Morganton has ceased this week... until we see the outcome of Friday's game 
Saw this game last year and thought freedom should have one,,, This year not so sure,, Shelby came together as a team last year and most of those guys are still together.. Saw freedom twice last year,, shelby,, and watauga,,, you could tell the talent was there for a good run this year. Playing in morganton dang sure helps freedoms chances,, thats a mysterious place to visit...
It ain't mysterious, you will absolutely get cheated worse than any other place. It's even worse than South Point and that's saying something.
Belmont/Lineberger Stadium is truth, justice and the American way. Honest refs, Eagle Scouts and Good Samaritans until that riff raff from CC comes to town.

I hardly ever get to watch the game at Lineberger.I'm to busy keeping a eye on all the rift raft sitting around me with dirty Red Raider t shirts on.
That’s the truth. There is always that hefty white girl with corn- rows with the stench of beer and pecker blowing off of her running her mouth like she gets paid to do it. A few years ago I almost talked myself into kicking her in the nuts.
You need to try it, SHS. Wearing a dirty Mighty Red Raider shirt to the game will make you feel like Superman.

“Freedom” is a wonderful word and in all it defines for this country and the men and women who have and are serving this nation...and Morganton took that word and disgraced it with a high school that SUCKS! Shame Shame

The officials will be fed like royalty pre game. Nascar type campers to sit in during half time, and lakefront celebration at Lake James post game. Officials get the respect they deserve in Morganton!!
I'm pretty excited, first freedom game I've been able to officiate in about 3 years!
