Thoughts?

Embarrassing loss by AC last week at Watauga...

Does AC rebound?

Word out of T-Vegas is that there are some player issues emerging.

I'll go Freedom 40 AC 21.

I feel like ACs offense got exposed as one dimensional and their D was really exposed.

I don't see it as an embarrassing loss, I just think Watauga is underrated. AC played a cupcake schedule also, nothing but 2A schools. In all fairness, so did Watauga. I haven't seen either play, but I think AC bounces back and wins by 3 or 4.

AC 28 Freedom 24.

It will be interesting to see how AC handles a dual threat QB that can sling it. I think AC will struggle slowing Freedom's fast pace offense. On the other hand, I see Freedom having a problem with AC offense. I see a high scoring game - Freedom 40 AC 36

Freedom has 2 receivers that can take it to the house anytime they touch the ball. The key for AC is to force Freedom to run. Although running game has improved here, advantage goes to AC if we are forced to rely on the run.

Coach Little is doing a great job in Morganton. He brings a balance that we haven't seen since Hardin and Helms. Not a top 10 team at this point, but by the end of season could be. Next few weeks will tell the story.

Just read on the other board that AC has a player suspended. Not sure if he's Offense or Defense.

The more disciplined team will win this game. AC should if they control the ball, Freedom can if they keep their composure.

It would be nice to see an upset in Hickory/Watauga game. Not likely but not impossible either. Coach Stone is a great game planner and Hickory has some athletes. Watauga struggles with athletic teams.

AC just isn’t that good. Plus I found out tonight they suspended one of their best defensive players.....oh well they always can claim that JV conference championship!

What position did that player occupy?

I'm sure the Cougars miss his defensive skills. He was the punter last year when we played them as well.
No player is bigger than the team for sure and hopefully things work out for him and the team sooner rather
than later.

The tunovers hurt AC. Freedom receiver broke school record for yards in a game. As I posted earlier this week, Freedom receivers are very dangerous. The real test comes against Watauga. Should be a thriller/game of the week!

Freedom's speed and uptempo was more than AC was used to. AC is fundamentally sound for the most part but turned the ball over too many times to stay in a game like this. Freedom is growing and getting better every game! I look for them to be back in the top 10 pretty soon. Certainly not a Crest or Hibriten, but a good looking team right now.

I say 2nd round for Freedom. Not sure who will be on the brackets but it’ll be someone strong. I hope they go all the way realistically speaking. Just figuring 2nd round or 3rd and done. Beat Watauga and they’ll get s first round bye most likely.

AC must have really imploded over the past couple weeks. Granted, back to back toughest games of the year will do that to a team, but my goodness. Not taking away anything from Freedom because a player or two set school records.

I'm really considering the drive to see Freedom/Watauga, I think that could be a shootout like they have 4 years or so ago in Boone. Watauga went for two and didn't get it. That was one of the best games I've ever seen between the two schools.

Two great coaches, two solid teams. Both have a unique edge. Freedom has big play ability. Watauga has versatility. I can't wait.

Freedom QB Birchfield and WR Caldwell will break every pass/reception record at Freedom before they graduate.

Isn’t ACs JVs and middle schools kicking tail and will be good for seasons to come? That’s what I’ve heard
