Fusion Josh from England is starting to get in on it as well. If you like lower league and non-league English soccer, his YouTube channel is excellent. He also almost never misses an England game, and does a little club stuff from the Continent as well.

A week ago Wednesday morning I started following Freddy on Twitter and he had 220,000 followers then. That night he had 296,000. As of me typing this post, he has 686,000 followers.

He's a soccer fan from Germany. I don't give a rip about World Cup but its been interesting following him. People from AL, MS, LA, TX, and now OK have given them all kinds of VIP treatment and merch: JJ Watt, Ella Lang, and Johnson Space Center really went out of their way. Johnson let him talk to the International Space Station on Wednesday I think it was

I travel to Europe regularly and have friends there. It's a small sample but I even have some friends who are Trump supporters because they're tired of immigration and migration of people from their former colonies who don't want to assimilate, disproportionately engage in criminal behavior and constantly accuse them of racism (I don't want to make this a political thread). Europe is great and most Europeans like Americans even though they don't like some things about America. Freddy doesn't surprise me. There's a lot of cool stuff in America and people don't realize it until they experience it. Even that old Borat stuff where he came to America to make fun of Americans. What I noticed was a lot of Americans actually trying to be polite to an awful person who behaved poorly and was remarkably ignorant because Americans are by large good people. I watched some Japanese fans really enjoy Texas Roadhouse. And Texas Roadhouse is actually pretty good. I don't go often but when I do the food's good, reasonably priced, the service is good and the place is packed. And when I'm in Europe where there's a lot of good food, there are times when I just want something like a Texas Roadhouse meal with free refills, ice in my water and a waiter who doesn't disappear for an hour.

I was about to dog on this post until I got to the TRH part.

At least that European server doesn't expect a huge tip from you for just showing up for work that day though so there's that...............
One thing I have been wondering with all these Europeans eating here - Do we think they are adjusting their tips to the typical ~20% that servers around here expect?

I honestly didn’t like a lot of Borat because he was such an azz to a lot of people who were just trying to be polite and helpful. Parts of it were hilarious, but those scenes just mostly made me cringe.

Well now I’m boycotting American Airlines. My flight got canceled and they only offered a voucher for a night stay at motel 4.5 that was 30 miles from the airport.

I’m happy for Freddy and his buds because he’s a happy, positive dude.

But I can reserve a little disgust for how much effort politicians and huge companies will put out for a little good publicity. I know, curmudgeon…

That's nothing. You should see the level of attention reserved for those financing politicians and major corporations.
