I was working at MSU when I got word that Smoot wasn't going to be able to play in the bowl game because of missing class. The joke going around campus was, "Hey, did you hear that our mascot died? Yeah, Smoot was supposed to be feeding him on the way to class."

Is he out of jail yet for not paying tickets? Saw a photo of him last week in cuffs.
