if he was in the first round it was in the mid to late now boards dropping him to early second round.

Hope he recovers well and lives his dream.

Know he officially announced that he was going pro but did he sign with an agent? Why in the world would you not come back to college if you knew that you had to have foot surgery? You had access to the best surgeons in the world at Duke and all would be covered while on scholarship.

Cost yourself millions of dollars.

I think it's because these guys play so much basketball at CIS. The floor is old school and sits directly on concrete. The only real solution is to tear it down and build a real arena like all the other best teams in the modern times, ie WF, NC St, and of course UNC.

Do we know the nature of the procedure? It could be something minor, like removing bone spurs.

Edit - stress reaction

News reports calling it a stress reaction that occurred at Duke, which means no break. What's strange is supposedly he played with no pain. So why did he get a bone scan then? What kind of surgery would they do to remedy that?

Edit-looks like they pin a little plate in there around the area of the callus on the metatarsal. They'll leave it for 4-6 weeks to allow the bone to heal properly. I think Duke should work in some swimming to replace some of the court pounding.

Yea I read where it happened at Duke as well. Just kind of weird how this has all played out. Wish him the best but wish he were still at duke as well.

I remember a picture during the season of some of the guys boarding a plane heading to a road game, and Frank was wearing a walking boot. He played in the game. Probably something very minor that they wanted to take care of now that the combine is done.

So Frank cannot work out for teams now, that won't help his case. Bell & Dorsey left Oregon knowing they are 2nd rounders. The advice these kids are getting is so poor.

I'm not so sure. There is no one way to do it. Your draft stock may go up or may go down, but for sure the NBA is attracted to younger players.

We don't know that. Frank very well may have a team that promised him a first round selection...he did get rave reviews.

The downside of returning is a drop in stock and when you are talking about late first round or second round talent...that can easily mean not getting drafted at all.

Advice is bad but listening to some of them is worse.

Jackson made a huge mistake IMO...I don't think he was ever going in first round...probably isn't for sure now

Oh well on to next year for the devils

I was just reporting what I read. I remember when he hurt it at the beginning of the season.

Never thought he'd go first round but after the COMBINE, he showed up in the late first round now he's back in the second.
