It was mentioned the other day that Blackshear made it clear he wasn't coming back regardless of who was named the HC. It now appears Schiano has moved on too. If Blackshear is having second thoughts because of Brown, it may be too late. Schiano is up against the clock to get players who WANT to be here. Keep in mind Blackshear was a team captain before he decided to redshirt. Any HC might question the commitment from Blackshear to his teammates and the program. It might be the best thing for him to go somewhere else for a fresh start.

Maybe no insult intended, but sharing worries about leaving Mrs Brown's lovely daughter on her own.

Brown’s bio says he was Temple’s co- defensive coordinator. Does it seem odd that someone would go from co-DC to Secondary Coach? Is it the lure of the Big Ten?

According to.com article "Brown’s title at Rutgers will be co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, according to the report"

Yes, two South Jersey 3 star kids that I bet will be coming with Fran. Chris Long, WR, Willingboro, recruited as an athlete, and Muheem McCargo, RB, Camden. These are the types of kids that Temple develops into really good players, it will be a real gut punch to their recruiting class if they flip.

Very likely a bridge too far but right now I want those two D-lineman going to Texas A&M more so than even Berger.

Yep. And likely Schiano has something to do with it.
