Has our win % vs ark at 84 and 86.7 vs OM. Obviously this does not guarantee us winning, but we look good to go 9-3. If we win 9, that will be 3 of 4 years that we have won 9. If we win 10, we will have won 10 in 2 of the last 4 years.

Despite this, there are still clowns that hate Mullen. If you are one of the ones that actually want Mullen gone, you just are not very smart

Anybody that thinks Mullen is not a great coach does not know football. Blaming Mullen’s playcalling is code for; “I play a lot of Madden, so...”

He has built a good football program from the cellar. We’ve all known this for years, but for whatever reason the national pundits are just now talking about it.

His only issue has been recruiting and hanging on to assistants.

Cohen is in charge now. Cohen appears to want to do what it takes to win, and paid Grantham double whatever we’ve paid assistants before him.

Recruiting is looking good thanks to the NCAA leveling the playing field and the national pundits finally recognizing the job that Mullen has done.

We’re in as a good of shape as our program has ever been, and we’re trending up.

Look the reality is you will always have haters. They will always whine. If Fitzgerald had connected on the last play, and then we win in OT by blocking a FG in OT and running it back, the haters would be out saying that Mullen is horrible, and if he could call a competent game we would have never gone into OT in the first place.

IMHO most of the haters probably went to State, but secretly still love the Rebels/Bears/whatever

The only way to Hate Mullen would be if you had been cryogenically frozen since 1941 and therefore have no idea of the futility of this program since then

There is no doubt we have some idiots wearing the maroon and white. Most figured we would win 6 games and we might win 10. Thanks Dan.

This is what really pissed me off last night with the "Fyyyaharresz Mullenzz" crowd last night.

1. Mullen had a great gameplan that almost worked. When was the last time you saw us huddle? Bama was frustrated that we held on to the ball. It stopped working in the 4th and we did not have a WR to go to when we needed it. It pissed me off when the "fans" started harping on the "we pay millions" and "we lost, don't be happy at all" like a winning football program in the SEC West is something you order through the drive-through window.

2. Our guys grew up this season. They hit Bama in the mouth and slapped them again when the Bama D got mad and slapped them after the play. Mullen and Grantham have slowly built confidence in a group that we return almost completely.

3. It takes stability and patience to build a competitive team in the situation we are in. This is not the Big 12 or Pac 10, this is the toughest league in college football. The reason why the league is down is the lack of consistency in coaching in the conference, which is getting worse. Yes, we pay Mullen a lot. For our money, we have gotten loyalty and a man that is all in to put our team on the map, which he has done. Yes, he has looked elsewhere but never left after he compared what was offered with what he has. Now we have a SOLID team that needs improvement at WR, CB, and depth, which looks to be attainable with the way our recruiting classes are set up.

I'm not saying be happy with a loss or this was some sort of moral victory... I'm saying be satisfied that we are definitely on the right path to move up in the conference on a more consistent basis.

ETA: My best friend is a lifelong Longhorn fan who has been following us the last 10 years since we became friends. Last night he called me to say congratulations on turning the corner. What corner I asked? He said, "You guys are about to be one of the top teams out there and /i wish we could swap teams and coaches."

No. The haters are not alumni, they’re the Finebaum watchers that approach it same as the NFL. Like you can just keep firing coaches until you end up with Belichick. Like Alabama fans.

Building a program is not linear. You might take a step back (2016). But we’re on track to win 10 games for the 4th or 5th time in our history. And it’s a rebuilding year, we should be better next year.

Remember, Keytaon is Mullen’s first 4 Star QB (Russell committed under Croom). We have some big time receivers committed. OLine play is as good as we’ve had in 20 years. We continue to increase our talent and depth.

These folks who want to fire Mullen are complete idiots. Last night a team comprised of primarily 2 & 3 star players went toe to toe with a team primarily made up of 4 & 5 star players. That should tell you something about Mullen & his staffs ability to coach players up. This years recruiting class is slated to be one of the best in Mullen's tenure and one of the best in school history. We have been enjoying, since Mullen's arrival, the best football in school history. It has taken time but don't forget, we were bad for a very long time too. Firing Mullen would be the absolute worst thing we could do right now. We need to do everything we can to keep him AND his staff here.

We have better talent than 2 and 3* recruits. We constantly been getting 3 and 4* talent. It's been that way for the last 5 years or so. But I get your meaning.

You are correct 7. And one of these days Mullen's going to beat Saban, and that will be the first of many (or at least till Saban retires).
