On the eye test alone, I would say they are equal. Coming into the season I had no clue Monk was also going to be so fast. Absolute lethal combo!

Fox by a hair in speed. Monk is the better finisher and Fox may be a better passer. They compliment each other perfectly

Monk is so quick, everything he does looks so fluid and smooth .
Fox is so fast he just flat outruns other players .
Awesome backcourt go cats .

Fox can run dribbling the ball faster than Monk can sprint without it imo. I've not heard anyone even suggest Monk is close to being as fast as Fox. I think Fox has the same speed Wall did but he's not the finisher Wall was.

I don't know what you mean by eye test. It's very obvious that Fox is the quickest player on our team, and 1 of the quickest ever to play for us. Monk also has NBA quickness, but not Fox's quickness. Monk's strength is his scoring tool.

Fox is every bit the finisher Wall was, and more. Wall has improved immensely in his time in the NBA.

This.
I don't know if there's a guy in college right now that's faster than Fox, if so, I haven't seen him.

Are you old enough to remember Dickie Beal? He was fast too.

With the ball speed Fox is way faster than Monk and not sure how that's debatable. Wall was faster out of the block than Fox is. As for the other players on the current squad it needs to be noted that Bam is often times already there waiting for these speed demons on the other end.

I would like to hear Cal's take on it. Maybe we can get UMM to call into his show Monday night and ask.

Fox easily. Monk is still fast as hell though. Whoever said Fox is a better finisher than Wall was crazy though. Wall was also faster with the ball but Fox is quicker.

Just wondering, how is anyone on this board so sure that one guy is faster than another?
How does anyone here know that Wall is/was faster than Fox? How do you know Fox is running as fast as he possibly can at any point in a game? It's tough to do that while you keep your head up and play under control.
Truth is, nobody knows, but so many are on here talking like they witnessed a 100m dash between all players in question.

Exactly. Don't remember who it was, but I got in an argument with a poster here after the Blue-White game who not only said Fox was a better finisher than Wall, but a MUCH better finisher. I liked a YouTube video of a full season of John Wall highlights to show him he's a crazy person, and his rebuttal was "yeah but that's just a highlight video." Okay, and he was basing his opinion on the Blue-White game. Haha.

Fox is a good finisher, but he doesn't finish like Wall.
