Quick update from Boulder. We arrived in Estes Park last night and had breakfast there this morning. Amazingly everybody was very friendly to us. Even had someone from their 1961 team come up and talk to us.

For the last 40 minutes or so we have been walking around the outside of the stadium in Boulder. Again, nothing but friendly greetings from everybody involved. Lots of Husker and Buffs fans tailgating together. Talked to one Colorado student who is the granddaughter of the Runza family. My guess is the early game time and the lack of any animosity over the past few years has really mellowed everyone. We are having a great time. I just hope that continues for the next five hours.

Not surprised. I’ve been to the last 4 NU games in Boulder and the atmosphere was mostly fine at all of them. Even the embarrassing cup-throwing episode in 2005 wasn’t directed at Husker fans.

The horror stories from the 80s and 90s are true, but times change.

Yes they are.

Hey how is Scavenger's 6,000 to 7,000 Husker fan prediction holding up?

Odd how 7,000 people can take up more than half the seats. But he knows everything, so that must be what's happening!

Be correct if the stadium only held 10000

Win, lose or draw, that stadium awash in a sea of red is now to be known as Memorial Stadium West. CU fans talk a lot, just don't show up.
