Just got finished watching on the DVR. The over-the-back foul call on CJ near the end was a swing of 4 points. They showed the replay. I didn't see anything, honestly. That was a pretty bad call and definitely changed the outcome of the game. But, we hit a few more free throws, we win. .. .Hats off to the team for playing tough, though, in difficult environment. Like all season, I really like their effort - the great rebounding and defense. They are enjoyable to watch and fun to root for.

I mentioned this in two other threads. That call was horrendous. It was a 4 point swing as we lost 2 points and NW got & made two foul shots. The BIG should certainly take a look at the call but we know they won't. I think that call cost us the game. Even the announcers said they didn't see anything. We just got short changed again.
It was a brutally bad call. The ref that made it needs to be held to account by B1G and publicly apologize to RU team and us fans.

We still had the lead for 2+ minutes after that foul, and had our opportunities. Foul happened at 4:32.... and we were still up 4 with 2:05 left, and still had the lead with 1:14 left. We didn't make the plays at the end of the game that we needed to, and NW did.

I understand we had other chances to hold on and win, but that blown call led to a crucial 4 pt swing against us. So instead of up 4 we're up 8 w/ 2mins. left.
At least it makes it harder for us to lose it...:flushed:
I'll give you that it would have given us more of a cushion, but still no guaranteeing we'd have won even without that call. We had every opportunity to win the game, but we didn't have playmakers who could get it done in the final minutes.
Refs blew the foul call on Nigel Johnson too, tough to make a play like that.

RU needs to find ways in the final minutes to win games instead of finding excuses why it lost them.
I wanted to rewatch the Nigel three. He kicked his legs out a bit and there was definitely contact ,not sure ho w much. ESPN no replay was absurd.
Funny how Getty's gets called on over the back, when he does nothing - bet against Purdue when Haas is blatantly over the back, Williams gets called for a foul..a few instances like this in the Wisconsin and Ohio St games too..but, if we make more fouls, we don't have to talk about a lot of that..lets hope we can get 2 of the 3 games at home..
