Par for the course.
You know that in his tiny brain he thought that was hilarious. Typical Iowa loser on a Nebraska message board.

I think that you are giving him too much credit hereIf only the refs could stop making Frost a .400 football coach![]()

Perhaps the fix is in.When? And the pile was not getting moved. The very next series their RB was still fighting for yards and they came running in waving their arms and blowing their whistles. It was a ******** intentional late whistle. As long as we're playing a team that still has a shot at getting in the CFB playoff we won't get ANY calls from B1G officials.
Look...his feet were still moving...whether or not it is the right call, I don't know.OK, so at the end of the game we pissed it away when we had a chance. That is on AM and the coaching staff.
BUT
If you think we weren't playing against a stacked deck, watch the play where AM was stripped and pay attention to how long he was stopped and having the ball ripped at.
Then watch the play on the following drive where we stood up their RB and started ripping. Whistles were blown almost instantaneously when he got stood up.
We had a chance to win it and blew it, but son of a gun the officiating crew did everything they could to make it more difficult.
Look. The OP was ok with the call on AM. He said that like 18 times in this thread. But why did the refs call the Michigan RB’s forward progress stopped in .03 seconds after contact just 2 plays later?Look...his feet were still moving...whether or not it is the right call, I don't know.
I do know that it does not matter. You get the first and go down. Adrian had a VERY bad habit of coughing it up after contact. Get the first...and slide.
If you're gonna play hero ball, even if the refs blow the whistle late...your #1 job is to HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL.
If you cannot do this job while pushing a pile...then you take the first...and you go down.
I don't care if it was blown dead late. You know the refs are crap...play smart and protect the ball.
Enough crying about the refs....we lost the game with stupid stuff at the end.
Don't be like Harbaugh...accept it and move on.
Lincoln is the definition of a sh*tty cow town.
In looking at that play Corum reached the 13.5 yards line, was driven back by multiple defenders to close to the 15 and the refs blew the whistle. His forward progress not only stopped but he was going backwards. That's the difference between those two plays, imo.Look. The OP was ok with the call on AM. EVERYONE has said AM needed to hold onto the ball.
But thanks for coming on this board for the sole purpose of telling us we can’t be frustrated about the irregularities of the refs’ calls. You’re awesome.
edit: also, note that this thread was started minutes after the game, when emotions are still running extremely high. You’re saying he shouldn’t have posted this minutes after a hotly contested game where, by your own admission in another thread, the refs weren’t perfect?
Thanks for the post. After reading this, I went back and watched the play in question. You are correct in what you saw, and I didn’t remember it that way.In looking at that play Corum reached the 13.5 yards line, was driven back by multiple defenders to close to the 15 and the refs blew the whistle. Yeah, whistles are subjective and inconsistent. In watching the AM play I think you could make an argument either way. That pile was still moving forward although it was slowing down. I think another half second and the whistle blows. But AM was pushing forward even if he wasn't getting very far at that point. Thanks for the post. I guess my biggest gripe is how often do you see the refs blow a play dead before the running back is down? Even when they have been pushed back, the whistle usually comes later than that particular play.
It just felt like an awfully fast whistle under the circumstances. Had the ref not blown the whistle would anything change? I highly doubt it… your RB wasn’t gonna fumble no matter what. You still win the game.
Just didn’t like the long play for Martinez and the short play for the Michigan RB.
Good luck the rest of the way.

How could he possibly go down? He’s being held up by three players and Hutchinson is trying to end his career, which is the very reason you blow it dead in a situation like this when forward progress has long since been stopped.
Yup. Standing stock still, just as he was in his post game interview. No forward movement at all...

He is stopped going sideways/backwards as Hutchinson attempts to blow out his knee. A play that is blown dead 99.9% of the time. He is lieterally being pushed backwards.
But the real question is why in the hell are you still here?
hutchinson is a dirty player and I hope he gets what's coming to him
meh
Post #61 in this thread shows Hutchinson wrapping AM around the waste. He doesn't hit his knees. There was nothing dirty about it.meh
I was thinking more along the lines of a one-way ticket to the used car salesman expo courtesy of a clean, legal blow to the knees while his back is turned
you know. play to the whistle and all that.

I am not upset. If you are upset about Martinez getting tackled, you should probably focus your anger at Scott Frost. He is the one who keeps calling plays for the QB to run with the ball.
Did Husker fans cry this much when you had QBs running the ball on the option maybe 20 times per game?

turnabout is fair play. if it ends dirty hutchinsons' season, so be it.
you seem like you're 300 years old, and just as weird as the rest of the opposing fans who come here to jerk themselves off.
michigan fan?You are the one with the 75 year old avatar, Pops.

extremely dirtyThat view doesn't tell the whole story. Do yourself a favor and look at the clip I referenced. It shows Hutchinson was not even close to hitting AM's knees. He wraps him around the waste.
Scarping around another board trying to defend a toxic waste dump for a state?I don’t know what’s more pathetic, crying about refs on a message board after a loss, or questioning someone else’s academic credentials because you don’t like what they post. They’re both pretty bad, and put together in the same thread is hilariously pathetic.
Unlike this subhuman, but animated, worm......Yup. Standing stock still, just as he was in his post game interview. No forward movement at all...

All within that 2 second gif, he moves the ball forward 6 feet and is stripped. And you guys are claiming he was "motionless" for several seconds without the refs blowing the whistle.
Just because he was trying to move his feet didn't mean he was moving forward. This isn't that hard, but then again neither is picking a screen name that a 13 year old boy wouldn't use while playing xbox online. Can’t see **** but everyone is “sure” progress was stopped. It’s easy to see if you’re not biased.
Ann Arbor: The median age was 27.8; 9.3% was age 65 or older.the entire city of ann arbor is an old folks home

You get the line to gain and slide...you don't put yourself in the position to get held up and exposed for a strip...
He made a very bad decision. Accept that and move forward.
