I came in 3rd the highly completive table tennis tournament at Somerset Community College in the 1980s.Way back when the Community Colleges were part of UK. I loved getting tickets to the ball games. My associates degree even says UK on it.
I don't know about the veracity of the rest of the post, but this is patently false. In 1970 Bear lived at what is now 1727 29th ST. E. in Tuscaloosa (A.K.A. Fairmont Drive). Look it up on Google maps. It's a rambling ranch, not a mansion. He moved to the Indian Hills neighborhood in the mid seventies (1), and even then, calling that house a mansion is a stretch.
