Remember him well. I thought in 71 that Rodgers deserved it more. But hey, I was 12 years old. Just as dumb then as I am now.Has passed away at 69..

I think OU won 45-7. Final polls:I’m with ya Pennsy brings back a lot of great memories after a bummer season like we had...
OU toyed with them in the Sugar Bowl and I had Great feeling we would beat the Bear that night in Miami...
I think OU won 45-7. Final polls:
1. Nebraska
2. Oklahoma
3. Colorado.
No other conference has ever repeated that
I always bring this up when people (mostly Iowa trolls) try to say how bad the Big 8 was. Incredible.I think OU won 45-7. Final polls:

Where do you live? I always fly to Lincoln in the Fall for one game. I would love to tailgate with you and a few others on here next year. Dinglefritz is an old fart too. Maybe we could get him on board. How old is headcard? 90?40-22 to be exact.. I was 14 in December that year..

OU was up 40-7 before the scrubs gave up a couple garbage TD's in the last 3-4 minutes. That plus NU's 38-6 drubbing of Alabama validated the Game of Century label for the NU-OU game. I was 8 at the time.40-22 to be exact.. I was 14 in December that year..
Ok. We will make it happen. I will be easy to find... just look for the malformed hunchback with hideous facial scars.in Millard.
would be fun matching names with faces...
Geezus, you're old!40-22 to be exact.. I was 14 in December that year..
Maybe I didn’t catch the post but how did the issue with your mom come out? Btw I was 9 in December of that year but still seems like yesterday. Time flys by so fastOk. We will make it happen. I will be easy to find... just look for the malformed hunchback with hideous facial scars.
Hey thanks for asking. My mom has stabilized. She had a bad stroke and also has dementia. It looked really bad for a while. Dire. But she stabilized and now is holding her own. But her dementia is getting worse every day.Maybe I didn’t catch the post but how did the issue with your mom come out? Btw I was 9 in December of that year but still seems like yesterday. That is a great story. LolMy grandmother had Parkinson's and sometimes would drift off staring at the corner of the room just making noises. One time my uncle came in, whom she never really trusted very much, and laid down on the bed next to her, looked over at her eye to eye, and said: "C'mon Katie, give me a kiss."
She snapped right out of it, turned her head towards him with her brow all furrowed and said: "I'd rather kiss a dog's ***."
It was so damn funny man I can't even describe, the room was full of laughter.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother, enjoy her as much as you can.
I always knew you were super knowledgeable and venerable, but I never imagined you as 60... !!!Remember him well. I thought in 71 that Rodgers deserved it more. But hey, I was 12 years old. Just as dumb then as I am now.

61! So I was 13 in 71, not 12. Math skills erode with old age!I always knew you were super knowledgeable and venerable, but I never imagined you as 60... !!!

Sure does. My dad is 86 and is doing fine. He is about 150 pounds overweight, gets zero exercise, lives on butter, gravy, and candy bars, smoked a pack a day until he was 60, and is a stress/anxiety machine. But he keeps going and going.... My mother is 83 and in pretty good health except she has the dementia. She was always a bit cuckoo in the head ... high strung Italian with powerfully expressed emotions... but the dementia has brought that insanity to a whole new level.Sorry to here that Penny, my parents are in their early 90’s.. Mother fall in Sept and just getting back moving around but she has too many issues against her..
Father is showing some early signs of dementia..
Sucks getting old..
I know what your going through, my dad passed away with dementia in 13, mom had a stroke in 09 and I’ll say she died from complications due to it in 15.Sure does. My dad is 86 and is doing fine. Also @Pennsyhusker : Hang in there, brothers. It's rough. My mom passed away on Nov. 21, about ten days after falling in her assisted living apartment and breaking her leg in two places. We were able to have several wonderful conversations with her, though, and she remained herself, with her sense of humor, to the end.Me too!
