Mini slump by Scottie and Rory pulls out of Arnie tournament with a back injury. Interesting week
Yes, he's in. Tee time is at 1:48 EST.Did David Ford get into the Players as the first alternate? If not, what a bum deal with Morikawa withdrawing after one hole.
Bhatia from here in Wake Forest. Has stated he played Paschal golf course. Amazing he’s a multiple time PGA champion from that place. Surely, as he grew he moved up to a longer course(s). I think he’ll win a major before it’s over.
I've played Paschal an embarrassing number of times. I can picture the tee on the first hole, where I would inevitably hook it up that hill on the left side or push it into the creek on the right. Yep. I'm guessing it was in better condition back then. To be fair, I played Paschal last summer and the greens were in better shape than I expected.Isn't Paschal the original Wake Forest course that Arnie played when he was in college?
Jup lost the first match in a best of three last night on the final hole when Kisner (why was he playing that long par 5?) choked away the match. Going to be really hard for Jupiter to win, so I guess everyone figured Tiger would at least give a ratings boost and he can't play any worse than Kisner.
Maybe not. Just rolled his car over.
Apparently there were no injuries, but I've never met anyone who wants to die in a car crash more than Tiger Woods.
Or potentially kill someone else.Apparently there were no injuries, but I've never met anyone who wants to die in a car crash more than Tiger Woods.
Was lucky enough to get tickets in the lottery this year. Excited is an understatement.I’m so ready fur the Masters that I’m staring at my azaleas for an unhealthy amount of time every day.

Yesterday was a special day on the PGA Tour. Congrats to Gary!
Hubert not being told he's being let go yet seems pretty significant. Would mean he hasn't been given the retirement or be fired ultimatum. Would mean Roy's politicking still could work. Not so sure this is over yet.
Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro. A top 5 course in NC (I've played Tobacco Road and #2). Great layout, elevation changes feel like the foothills, every hole is good. When I played in December there was an oddity in that two or three of the par 3s had a mat on the tee. No idea why, tee boxes were fine. Suffice to say we did not abide; I'd be surprised if they are still using them. Mill Creek in Mebane would be another course if you're up for traveling toward the Triad. My boss is flying into RDU in mid may for a 3 day golf bender. He's bringing two buddies (I played with them all a year ago in Boston) and I'm tasked with setting up what courses we play each day.
What are your thoughts on an itinerary/courses you would want to hit? I think we're largely going to avoid Pinehurst due to cost/driving. I looked and Tobacco Road is already sold out for that weekend.

These recommendations make you realize that the Triangle is sorely lacking for public golf.
What a terrible afternoon to be without your phone...Was lucky enough to get tickets in the lottery this year. Excited is an understatement.
Mind-blowing, eh?What a terrible afternoon to be without your phone...
LOL. I was 30 minutes late hearing the news and I felt like I couldn't catch up. At least you were at Augusta National. How was the day, the course, etc? What a terrible afternoon to be without your phone...
Without knowing it, I might've ran into you last week. I was staying in the area.I played a course near Calabash last week.. Meadowlands. I really enjoyed the round. I don't play enough to know how the course conditions there compare with neighboring courses but I'll just say it was better than what I'm used to. About $80 for 18 with a cart on a weekday. I ended up shooting in the 90's like I normally do but I had 3 birdie putts. All missed but turned 2 of them into tap-in pars. 3 putted the other one. (facepalm)
To give you an idea about that green. Stand on the drivers side of your car then look at your windshield. The slope isn't quite that severe but close.I wish I knew more about this course but I did see a cool segment with Smylie and JT last night on Live From while they were walking hole number 3. It looks like, IIRC, the pin position on 3 today is a tough one, as there is trouble/dropoff to the left and short.
We were staying at Ocean Isle. It was a great few days. I hadn't been to OIB since the hurricane landed there in 2020 (a few days before our scheduled arrival) and cancelled our trip.Without knowing it, I might've ran into you last week. I was staying in the area.
I played Meadowlands but it was decades ago. Does it have a par 5 or am I confusing it with Farmstead?
