I didn't see much that was factually incorrect. I disagree that the school can do anything about it, but other than that he reported the facts of what has happened and he clearly states multiple times that the bad UK fans are in the minority.

You all wanted fans en masse to bombard Emmert and Higgins, well guess what, this how the rest of the country is going to look at us for that. Don't ***** and moan, enjoy it, own it, revel in it, since the rest of us have to deal with it, those who advocated it should love this attention.

Of course Forde calls out UK fans and totally ignores the actual evidence that we have provided as to the basis of our angst. Saying that "there were two or three questionable calls and Higgins didn't even call all of them".

He is even blaming Cal and Mitch. What a crock of crap!!

He's just upset that his pal Ricky P, is about to get the HAMMER and he's got to use ANY bad press toward UK that he can.

From reading the article it is apparent that Mr. Forde reads this forum. So, HEY PAT, we KNOW you HATE us , but it's because we EXPOSE you for the fraud you are!!

Why do some of your torture yourselves and still read anything this tool pumps out?

He's made it clear who he is and what he's about, what his agenda is, over and over again. I will never read that article, but I can probably accurately predict every sanctimonious word of it. He's not worth the time or the emotion.

It doesn't bother me one bit. As I said, hopefully Higgins faces financial ruin because of his actions. He deserves it.

He mentioned the number of fouls called per team as being fairly even but that is only half the story. Missed calls, bad calls, momentum changing calls, and totally botched calls are the other half. Then you have key players not playing and their heads jacked up by the frustration of feeling they are being screwed by the refs.
Way more to this story than Pitinos Puppet mentioned. Higgins and Forde suck.....period.

Of course birds of a feather flock together...Forde is about as worthless writer as Higgins is official and both hate Cal and UK.

Even posting these dbags links is creating more traffic for them even if no one on here ever clicks on it. It creates a "backlink" which increases web rankings which ultimately brings in more traffic to his article from other sources.

In other words, directly linking anything these asshats write about is profiting them.

Why would anyone want to ruin this mans personal/professional life?

Keep him from officiating...I get it. I agree. He sucks at it.

Attacking his personal life is sick, imo. His family depends on him and his business. What the hell did his family ever do to you?

That makes me sad, for you and for our society
well, it depends, doesn't it? Is this just a guy who officiates games and has blown a few calls that happened to adversely impact UK? IOW, is he just like any other ref? If so, then yeah, all of this is overblown.

What if it's more than that? What if it's not just basic occasional human error, but a pattern and practice owing to a dislike of Calipari, for example? What if he has an agenda?

In that case, I'm not sure it's "sad"....

Good! The more coverage this issue gets, the less chance Higgins will ever have an opportunity to ruin our title hopes again. The can spin it however they like - bad fans, poor little Higgins, whatever. But you can bet no matter what they say now, the next time we're put on his docket it'll get a second look. That's what I want.

Do you all not understand the difference between complaining to the NCAA head of officials and attacking his business that is completely unrelated to his officiating? I fail to see how that's too complicated for some to understand.

And that's not even discussing the rumored death threats.

Regardless, it's not fans responsibility to hold him accountable.

While I agree with everything you are saying, especially going after a man's family...don't forget that he pulls in over 100K net from officiating. Not exactly chump change.

OK. And he would be overpaid for the crappy job he does. But what difference does that make? We have no idea of his family lifestyle or needs, and it frankly is none of our business.

Damage was done. Message was sent. Just wish our fans would step away from this and let it go. Use the channels available through the NCAA even if it might seem futile.

As Cal stated today. Stay classy.

Sad or not sad this guy definitely has an agenda. He dislikes (nice way of saying it) Cal and UK with a passion and he's going to call games in our opponent's favor every time. Some UK fans are too strong with certain things but Higgins is terrible and he's being made out by the media as an unbiased person. That's total BS.

What does that have to do with anything? Even if the man was a millionaire it doesn't justify anything. It's disgusting what some people are doing.

The same NCAA that rewarded him for that crap showing last Sunday with a Final 4 gig?

Does he have proof of the death threats?? Did he actually tape the conversations? Anyone can say someone called and gave them a death threat. Who knows he could be making it up to get some heat off of him.

I still agree, just didn't explain my comment earlier. All I am saying is that he, and other officials should be held more accountable for the wage. I understand we expect them to be perfect, and there is no humanly possible way for them to be perfect, but it seems like there's little to no consequence with the game assignments they receive. At the end of the day, it really is just a game...but the official is there to enforce fair play to the best of their knowledge within the rules. It was never meant to be a job spent in the spotlight, and they get paid a very generous sum to abide by those guidelines.
