The founder of "Kwanzaa", this Karenga moron, was a black supremacist who at one point advocated racial violence. Thanks to the leftists loons he is now (or was) a departmental chair. Sad commentary about the state of higher education in the Humanities.
Probably a good thing that no parade was held. When I worked in inner-city Brooklyn, they would hold (they still do) an annual "Caribbean Day" parade. On average 3-5 people would get killed and 10-20 hurt badly despite the massive police presence.

They did attempt a parade. It was over in < 10 minutes. And 3 people reportedly attended the post-parade informational activities.
