Auburn and the town appeared nice and typical of a major college town. From our experience, stay the hell outta Opelika!!

The people seemed nice and appreciated us. Service was slow, vibe was laid back. Didn’t come across as an affluent area by any means.

I lived 90 miles from the campus for 21and half years. It's nice as long as you can stand the bammers. Auburn has a few Great golf courses.

Well, probably a low cost of living, but I did not get the impression there was much to do outside of the campus life. Atlanta is not far away, but you can only do that so many times.

If she is a country girl, then perhaps it's the place for her.

We got good service at the bbq joint there. And always got good service at the Macon places: Rookery, H&H, etc. oh yeah, you’re back to being a Yankee again!
