As far as I know from the conversations I've had with Josh M. I am still a moderator of this board. With the new board format Josh had to get me set back up. The new format was set at our slowest times.


As time went on I see the board was doing a great job of self moderating so I never bothered Josh with getting me set up to Moderate. With some of the posts I've see lately I think it's time for me to return.

I still believe this board can be self moderated as I've see it happen. But that is up to the posters new and old. It's up to you guys. It's in your hands.

Ya it was running great for a while self-moderating until just the past few weeks. But no doubt having a mod around when things do get out of hand is necessary to keep things from spiraling out of control like a few arguments have gotten recently. Mike you have done well in the past and hope you continue that going forward. Hopefully the threads that need you to bust out the mod-hammer will be kept to a minimum.

You can apologize to mike later for trying to crap all over his thread simply because you despise me. And thought you were putting me back on ignore. Please do the board a favor and do it...asap.

Like I said, my stamina has NO limits...I'll stand toe to toe with you idiots forever.
I'm retired...no bills, no pressure...I'm getting mailbox money all the time!

I don't have the tools for that. Had no idea he was banned, until tonight. And the answer would be no, if Josh M. Banned him I can't lift even with the tools.

Section22, thanks for the kind words. This post was not about me coming back. I haven't had the ability to do anything as mod since the new site. Josh told me to bare with him and he would get us set back up. So basically I was given a vacation a long one at that. Lol but just because some doesn't post here doesn't mean they're not reading the board.

The board was really rolling around very good pretty much through the entire off-season. And pretty much on up and to the past 3 weeks. I'm not sure what you mean about not off to a good start? It hasn't started yet, I thought it was time to fill the board in about why there has been no on duty mod.


A moderator of the free board is not the president of the United states. All he is here for is to keep this board from flipping over nothing more nothing less. And as you well know it is a voluntary job.

The "Report" button and Josh's email address if things get ugly works well. That has been the mode of operation we've been in since the new Rivals user interface came along. And board participation has increased.

I agree 22....report, the ignore feature or contact josh for emergency purposes. Mods are overrated due to whoever it is it's very hard to remain neutral and not just be a regular poster

It's not the ignore button that's the problem, it's the lack of discipline to be able to properly use it. The ignore button is the moderator, or at least for me.

Uhh...why would I want to argue forever? That's the difference between us. You live to argue and stir the pot. I prefer to come here and talk about football. I don't view this board as a reality show or popularity contest like you do. But if you think it's a life accomplishment that you can argue longer than others, then congratulations. I'm sure Mike will enjoy having to come behind you and clean up trashed threads due to it. But I'm with Mike in that I would prefer the board to get back to talking about football. Or go ahead and put me on ignore if you can't handle that.

If you're so delicate you can't handle dissenting opinions and idiots, then the internet probably isn't for you.

This place doesn't need a mod. Peer moderation works just fine.

For the past handful of years, the board almost always is "smooth"...until a loss. When it's a loss to Texas, the tendency is for some to become exponentially more emotional. Wins oddly seem to equate to more rational thought.

Having said that...the board is definitely fun again. Disappointed that medic earned a ban, but I'll bet he thought it was worth it. ;)

Then you need to get your butt posting more on here again!!! One of your recent posts was the "inspiration" and example to convince me that the board was fun and a worthwhile place to spend a little time again. Posters like YOU bring more posters and rational thought to the board.

Glad to hear you're living large, loving life though my friend. Seriously...wow us with your wisdom, baffle us with your Bullsh!t...whatever's working for the day. ;)
