But, it looks like Arkansas has a decent team this year. I am not sure how that translates in to wins this year, but I think we can hold our own against most teams. Except Bama and Georgia perhaps.

It’s because of people like you that I really want to see us play Arkansas again. That was definitely one of my favorite away games to attend

Texass should be used to it by now wherever they play. It will only get worse when they start SEC play. Wait until they travel to LSU a for a night game their fans better wear helmets. LSU fans are animals.

How is a school with all that money , great facilities, great fan support, one of only two schools with their own TV Network, and a tsunami of football talent in their backyard, only an above average football program for the last decade?

The tsunami of talent now has many many options…like many!
austin is barely (if at all, Texas) lots of kids don’t want that SF-wannabe feel (some do…but many don’t)
their own tv network sucks and has been a TV disaster. They no longer have the fastest growing alumni base in the state so they no longer dominate the fandom everywhere like they used to.
It all still boils down to recruiting and coaching.
That is why both Rutgers and Arkansas are on the upswing. Texass will be alright. I just hope that they continue their lackluster performance for a few more years.

They coasted on a reputation for a looong time. They did not have to work for recruits.. everyone in football crazy Texas wanted to play for them. Pick of the litter recruiting.. like Bama now.
Then.. more and more games on TV.. everyone else expanding recruiting into Texas and elsewhere.. national broadcasts where Texans see quality football being played elsewhere... Texas was asleep at the wheel.
