Gallimore is doing a heck of a job over there. The little league program is the best it has ever been. It all starts there. Again someone correct me if I’m wrong here but Claybo is heading that up? ( Former nfl lineman ). I think we all as fans need to relax , I’m sure coach realizes his mistakes, and will correct them. The fact that these sophomores just experienced the first loss on the field since they have been playing is something not mentioned. Lot of factors here guys. Something tells me that will be used as fuel. How bout that backfield next year, both sides of the ball on the line? Loaded. Early prediction, bears go back to back and possibly put 3 together. Could be wrong but those sophomores are very special

Middle school was undefeated this year. Won tight games over North Surry and Pilot Mountain Middle. Middle school went .500 last year. Clabo's son just started playing football again so he doesn't have anything to do with MA LL football.

Wilkes County sports is a train wreck in general in the football department. There is a lot of talent there however. EW and WC both have had success recently. There are good athletes. I’ve been told the youth programs in the county are a culprit of unsustained success for any programs in the county. If the county wasn’t so big geographically, consolidation would be a good option. Could make North and West stand alone and combine WC and EW. Would be an interesting large 3A school for sure. Not an expert by any means but would like to see somebody from the county rise to the occiasiom and establish themselves. Would make the area more competitive. EW probably has the best shot. North, Central, and West will not be competing in their conference any time soon.

Consolidation would probably be East and North and West and Central. Never will happen though. Especially after renovating all the schools in the last 15 years.

The Millers Creek crowd would make sure they're on the good end of a consolidation if it did.

Wilkes County would become a McDowell if they consolidated any schools and they played in bigger divisions imo.

It's raggity..it has good coaches though...because EW middle always wins somehow...but fizzle out big time at the jv/varsity level..

I hope East Wilkes & Starmount can give MA a game next year and maybe Elkin. we need better competition in our regular season to be prepared for the playoffs. I mean 9 shut-outs a running clock before the half most every game, The BEARS beat themselves Friday night with I think Buzz said 175 yds in penalties. Best of luck next year !

Congratulations, I thank Mitchell wins the State Championship 2021
I also think the Bears are the 2nd best team in the west behind Murphy. Robbinsville showed me nothing on the game on Facebook. I think Mitchell if they wanted could have had a running clock ! !
