Just quick look MA returns 18 players from this team. Next season will have 10 under classmen from 2021 roster and 8 Srs. Key starters #2 #3 #5 #15 #21 #25 #32 #42 #44 #50 #59 #74 these were all starters.
Not a MA poster but with a roster like that they should win it all
Heard what???? I just posted who we return? Didn't say will be real good or anything like that. How many times do you always put anything about MA down. I'm not trashing Elkin.........
Nobody said anything about being good or winning anything. As long As Adkins is at MA they will never win big game. He can't handle the pressure and Cant have his team prepared mentally......the game we watched Fri night showed it loud and clear.
Send Adkins back to EW...we would be glad to have him again
Have you asked Holder if he wants it?
What's amazing is you preach about Holder but how many times did he win the "big" game. That 1 state title.
It also seems to me that JK is a lot more popular in Mayberry than a few loud mouths seem to know.

He got MA to State 3 times. Went to West.Finals alot usually losing to Albemarle that was a Beast in the day. Winning record against SMC. Took #6 seed MA to western finals in 2006 beating Murphy... Polk.....S Stanley all on Rd. Yeah he has won some big games. Beat Es many years when ES was better. I have ask Coach Holder about it and of course he want say. Seen him last Monday he said Adkins has done a good job. His son Graduates College in Spring and that was main reason he
coaching. As he has helped in Spring and this Fall he must have the itch. He gets aweful excited on top of press box at home games.He must not like it there. Already left that job one time
Maybe not..But we liked him more than you guys..you fair weather fans dont deserve him...i would say he liked it at EW...at least he coached and respected the kids and community like he did. MA is a more prestigious job..According to a lot of you guys the shoes seem too big for him to ever fill...hmmmm...
Mount Airy as a whole loves Coach Adkins more than Buzz will ever admit. Buzz is a small minority, but remember the loudest ones are usually in the minority.

Not true! I hear from alot and I mean alot of fans and mainly parents that think the way I do! I know some staff in the school from teachers to cafeteria workers that have said things about him that wasn't good. Trust me I am not alone in this. He had a good enough team.to win State. Was enough talent there.
If he got #1 the ball more and wouldn't have stopped giving the ball to #8....they would have beat Mitchell. But if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his tail when he jumped.
He chokes in big games. How much more proof do we need. #1 at QB the whole night and feed #8 we win.
MA had 399 offense to 288 Mitchell. But MA had 174 yards in penalties. That's not a well coached team

And cafeteria workers? Get real, he probably doesn't even think about going to the cafeteria.
You're the minority in this whether you like it or not.
Staff is a big part of the school no matter what they do and do see the everyday going ons in the school.
Point is I'm not only one. Ik of at least 12 or so dad's I have talked to of players that say alot more than me about it.
Team not prepared to play a really good team...but was always prepared to steam roll bums...tbh...could it have been more of the players believing everything the fans and parents were telling them..about how unbeatable and invincible they were??
At the end of the day players actions are reflected upon the coach. However, he can teach the kids how to play the game, correct discipline and the right mindset for the game but ultimately its up to the players to go out and perform like they have been taught and coached to.

Coach sets.the example and he did not! He ran his mouth and pissed the side judge off enough where he was throwing a flag every time we scored. Never seen that many side line interference calls. And if a kid throws other team players shoe off dang feild you take his butt out of the game and talk to him. Never happened!!!!! How can you when as a coach you acting the same way.

To be fair that wasn’t the best crew of officials ever. The flag they picked up to give y’all a td was an obvious block in the back. The holding calls on us were suspect sometimes, but y’all’s coach losing his mind didn’t help a group of young kids. If he’s had a group of seniors might’ve fired them up
On Mitchell's side an abundance of people...MA had disappointing support for a team that good.
