Alliance has hired TD Stein, Chadron grad and former assistant at South Sioux City and was just a grad assistant at West Texas A&M.

Chadron's Mike Lecher stepped down after 17 years, he has been replaced by assistant coach Mike Sandstrom

Very happy to see Marty the new Coach for Concordia. Great man and great coach. Also Thayer Central got a great one with Shepherd.

This is interesting. I thought I remember something earlier in this thread about Burke NOT being open. Can't remember exactly what it was, maybe his name being mentioned as a possibility for the new Central coach at the time? Obviously that didn't end up happening.

Was sorry to hear that news out of Bertrand earlier today. I've known him since grade school. His first team at Butte started 0-2 and was down by two touchdowns at half of his third game. Long story short....they rallied and won and his teams went something like 55-5 from that point through the 99 season. Had three runner-ups and a state title during that stretch.

It is not open. Colfack also announced Trey Stutheit will be new HC.

Not sure what the story here is but Steve sounded like he was blindsided with this yesterday. What a terrible way for the admins to handle this. No disrespect to the new guy but if I'm a Bertrand parent right now I wouldn't be very happy. Loomis is right down the road. As you said, HOF and great guy. He deserved a way better way to go out than this appears to be.

I'm sure there was a reason that they didn't announce the decision before March 15th......

Bertrand and Loomis should co-op everything. They’d be better together.
