Food shortages

Quick delivery. When I got mine, it was a 3 month lead time from Harvestright. I went through Home Depot and shortened it by about a month.
$500 bulk food order in. More grains, beans, salt and the like for the storehouse. I really wish the damn freeze dryer would get here already.
We've taken up canning. It's been a long time since my parents canned, but now everyone is learning again.
Freeze dryer arrived this morning. Going to run a function test/test batch of bread and if all goes well it'll be running non stop for the next few months.
Not sure it'd be worth trying to survive in a world like that. I'd rather Jesus just come take me home.
Good to hear. Garden's coming in-just finished up several freeze dried batches of hot peppers, squash, green tomatoes, etc. This thing is great for leftover's too such as spaghetti sauce(with or without noodles), chili, soups, stews, casseroles, and other pasta dishes. Add some water, nuke it and it's ready to eat.
Got chickens several months ago and they are finally laying. Will do a round of eggs next.
Couple of suggestions: I've not had an issue with defective seals on the mylar bags but I do a 2nd seal just above the first to be sure.
I tried the Tattler re-useable canning lids last year for the first time and am satisfied with the results. Supposed to be re-usable for several years. I get them from Lehmans.
I don't disagree with you. I'm a pre-trib rapture believer, so I don't expect to go through it. Just not sure how bad it's going to get before the rapture. I have a number of non-believing family members, neighbors, and friends. I expect they will be raiding my house post rapture

I have 2 freezers & all the wildlife one can have .... can meat is good for 5 years electric or not . I trade my my uncle meat for peppers, growing up in clarksburg sauce peppers is a necessity to me , my uncles is the best ...a hunk of tally bread ....life is good
Did my function test and 'bread break-in' and it performed flawlessly. Now to start planning my next moves. This thing is gonna run non stop.
Got the large with 5 trays. Probably going to do 1- 2 trays of candy each time to sell and help offset some of the cost. Apparently there's a huge freeze dried candy market out there.
