He only saw action at fullback last year (which is where he must have been seeing reps in practice), and we no longer use a fullback. Mehringer's system only uses single TE sets, and the top three spots are pretty solid at this point (Flanagan, Arcidiacano, Scarff). Good luck to him, just wasn't able to crack the depth chart.

Has anyone realize that the change in how we play football on both sides of the LOS has some players that are not going to fit the schemes that Ash wants to run?
I would NOT be surprised to see at least FIVE more transfers for this exact reasons...and maybe more. No inside info...there are just some players whose skill set fit the pro style offense and what we were trying to do on defense under Flood that does not fit under Coach Ash's system

Not just that but the plain simple fact is some guys, as expected, will be "weeded out" due to his practice/training philosophies.
You called him highly overrated, with no other P5 offers, and said "See ya!". That's not ripping the guy? Maybe not what you intended, but it came across as classless enough to bring out Ron Burgundy.
Facts. I've always spoken factually. His offer sheet is that of, at best, a low 2-star. Sorry if a few of you don't want to hear it.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe what you read online is not the complete picture, maybe he had offers he didn't report? It's not like there is a database where schools report offers to kids...fact...you have no idea what his actual offers were...not to mention we have commitable vs non commitable...is it any better that the devito kid had a non-commitable offer from RU, it truth he had no offer at all because in order to have an offer you must have something you can accept without conditions.
RU has a senior on top of the depth chart and closely followed by a RS Junior and true Jr.
Think Folkerts just looking for playing time and feels his future at RU would be mainly on bench
for the rest of his time as a Scarlet Knight.
Especially if Naklia Griffin is ahead of him on the depth chart now .
As far as offers, can only go by what the recruiting sites have and unless there's articles out there saying otherwise, those sites are the only thing we can go by when talking about what schools offered.
Many programs look at HS players and the recruit thinks they will offer, but the offers don't come even if the kid told someone ( insert school here) is about to make an offer or mistakenly claims offer was made because he expects one shortly.

I'm not making any excuses, I think the recruiting the last two years left a lot to be desired, I'm simply saying you don't know the "facts" that this kid only had certain offers...and like I said, if a kid has a ton of power 5 offers but most are "non-commitable" then how does that tell you he is a better prospect?

I understand what you're getting at, and how things work, but don't you find it funny that the guys with great offer sheets almost always list them? Hence, my point stands, he likely DID NOT have better offers and his list was his list. The "he just didn't list them" and "he ended his recruitment " crap is the mantra a certain group of posters allowed themselves to believe the last 3 years.
