Anyone know someone who's caught this lately? My wife's had it and has not left the bed for three days. Fvcking brutal, daughter last week and was out of school for 4 days.

Everyone at the office got it except me. Not sure how I got lucky other than I had a flu shot.
They both got the flu shot as well. I've known 7 people who've had it, all are female.
It has been a weird flu. A lot of people who got the shot got the bug. It is as bad a flu as I can remember. Just knocks people out. Hope your girls feel better soon.
My wife said its the worse sickness she's ever had. I've seen her move from the bed twice in three days. I've been nonstop tending to them both from sunrise to sunset, only break I've had is going to work.
Make sure they are following up with their Physician/Pediatrician. Some of these strains are quite strong and difficult to recover from, especially in children.
same kind of thing hit an elementary school here....20% absentee rate.....hope your family is feeling better....how's your game?....mine is shaky right now......having trouble with fairway woods, which I must hit a lot now
Ahhh....Jumping to conclusions, I see. There are risks in getting flu shots.
Small risks, yes, but still risks. Those who have a very good immune system shouldn't take the risks, in my opinion.
Some need to take a flu shot as a condition of employment. A line is being crossed, in those situations. I would refuse.
Anyway, I refuse to take a flu shot because I rarely ever get the flu. The risks aren't worth the reward.

The last 3 years I got the flu shot, and then still got the flu. This year I didn't bother with the shot because I always got the flu anyway, and I didn't get the flu.
It's a hard hitting flu but it doesn't last long. I was down about 4 days with it and I'm older than dirt. Granted, I may have picked up a partial immunity to it from that Neanderthal chick I dated in France back in my caveman days. She could cook up a great giant sloth casserole.
