Zoom was coming to UK. Had Aberdeen or Chandler stayed, I don’t see Wilkins in the lineup.

Exhibitions dont mean anything.

They definitely reveal some things. I've learned that Diallo is not a good basketball player and that Mason Williams should not only play the most minutes at guard (he did), but start.

Did he? Was it the 3 points against TT, the 3 points against Auburn or the 7 against Houston that pushed them over the top?

I watched the games.......I know what I saw him do. He always came up big while here last year at the key moments. Some players have that, and some don't.

Mainly, I was never impressed with Aberdeen.

He played really well second half of the year. He has already proven he can play on a great team too. Zoom has never done that.

The 2003 season is a major anomaly. That team genuinely wasn’t very good and flipped the switch in a single halftime speech.

That said, probably now more than ever, I think you’re right. With everyone playing other high d1 comp in scrimmages and exhibitions none of these guys are going to show their hand in games that don’t count.

They didn’t have a lot of high end talent but they had a team of good college players that played amazing well together.

I wasn’t impressed with Zoom at Washington and I haven’t been impressed with him here either so far.

I just think Zoom is a much better ball handler. But I could very well be wrong. Time will tell.
