I was watching this exhibition and Florida is looking pretty good. Fland is out but it just makes them better since Klavzar is showing nice skills playing point and he's money from three; it just gives them 2 shooters instead of one. I wish Aberdeen had stayed here since him at the two with Wilkins or Williams at the point wouldn't look bad right now.

I’d take Zoom over Aberdeen.

Florida doesnt have much talent, unc either

Only 1 five star between the two Schools

Mmmm…Florida has multiple guys that could be on NBA rosters right now.

They don’t have a future nba superstar. But that’s unnecessary at the college level. You just need a few guys that at least have a chance to stick in the league. Florida has that. I’m not sure about UNC.

UK has it imo. Momcilivic, Moreno, and it’s looking like Mason Williams will all have a chance. I wanna say Kam Williams does as well but he’s gotta get and stay healthy before we can tell for sure. N’Diaye too.

Kam has the potential to be a high level 3 and D guy because of his length, mobility and instincts. He was a major net positive when he was healthy. But we may never see him healthy again. Who knows. Given our luck i’m just expecting him to be another in a long line of UK basketball what if’s.

Took UNC freaking OT to hold off Charlottee 89-82. I know- "EXH don't mean anything" but you can't feel good about that if you're an UNC fan.

And UF won 86-68; bout what you expect. They will be good again.

I remember the 2003 team lost an exhibition to Athletes in Action or something like that. Went on to be Tubby’s best or second best team. Exhibitions truly don’t matter in terms of the results — I watch them for individual player attributes and team strengths/weaknesses. You can win an exhibition by 40 and still show weaknesses that doom your season.

I mean I get it. They don't count. But a game was still played. And some of these have actually been kinda competitive. Epseically the head to heads between D1 schools.

And I do think you get a much better glimpse that way than playing the Directional Sisters of the Poor.

The 2003 season is a major anomaly. That team genuinely wasn’t very good and flipped the switch in a single halftime speech.

That said, probably now more than ever, I think you’re right. With everyone playing other high d1 comp in scrimmages and exhibitions none of these guys are going to show their hand in games that don’t count.

Aberdeen may not be a future NBAer, but he is a damn good college guard who would be a real asset for any team as a combo guard but probably not as the primary PG. I don’t know why he bolted so quickly back to UF to attempt this extra year but I do know Golden never wanted to lose him in the first place.

Hes a high level defender and plays smart. doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. Even when having to take on a completely new role mid seasos i thought he did well. Honestly Pope may have kept them from repeating by taking Aberdeen.

I don't know how anyone could have watched the 2012 and 2015 exhibition games against teams that were far weaker than what we are playing now and conclude those games didn't matter.

No you watched those games and knew crystal clear what type of seasons we were in store for.

Every game has information. Nothing is meaningless.

We always look at last year and talk about the Purdue game but maybe that game gave a sign that Purdue wasn't nearly as good as people thought they'd be. And sure enough....

Florida does not win that national championship without Aberdeen. He showed out in that tournament.
Maybe.Depends on who they had in his place coming off the bench.Because they would have never won a championship with him as a starter.
Aberrdeen is a solid/good depth piece.

He originally transferred to get his 5th year based on the old rules and on not playing his freshman year, so it could count as a redshirt year like Kepnang. I think it would help having Golden on his side to say he was injured or something.

Likewise, he said he could finish out his degree at UF over the summer, since not all of the UF credits transferred to UK.

Depth piece for sure. He wanted to start so he left UF.

He was a selfish player at UK and it showed even though he was forced into the PG spot.
