We are hit or miss. If the shots are dropping we can play with anyone but we don't have a good big man presence right now.

Cats better pound it down low to the bigs and wings or we are losing to your gators

We better beat UF or else we will start having to worry about possibly being a bubble team

We know Florida will be launching a lot of threes, so we will have to get out on them.

Is your big still expected back by the end of Jan?
It's not just one big, we have been without our 3 best bigs for the whole season (Egbunu, who would be a starter and best defensive presence, and freshmen Isaiah Stokes who is a bruiser down low with soft hands, and Chase Johnson, who is a wiry high flyer that gets up and down the court fast.) But yeah, Egbunu is supposed to be available "late January"......but who knows if he is ready......and who knows if the offense gels with him in there.

I'll give you Egbunu, but stokes is not better than Hayes--- not as a freshman.
And Johnson would be behind stone.

Hayes makes hustle plays but goofs up the rest of the time with clumsy turnovers....his offensive orientation is less than desired. I didn't count Stone as a "big" because he plays all positions and shoots a team leading 49% from three. He can mix it up down low when needed but he plays all over the court and can chill outside and stroke the three ball so no he isn't in the same category as Egbunu, and Stokes or Hayes, maybe Johnson.

Gators have 5 players shooting >40% from three and are shooting 40% as a team from three, that's nuts. In SEC play we have 5 players >40% with 4 players >=45% and Egor at 55% from three, what?!

Ok. I still think you are selling short Hayes and overstating the inpact freshmen stokes or Johnson would play.
You are missing your best big man, and some depth--- not your top 3.

I still believe that in Fla. (w/ the big boy healthy), A&M and the Cats, the SEC has 3 Elite 8 level teams this year. Add Tenn., Aub. and 'Bama to the next tier, and I could see the conference w/ 6 sweet 16ers.

Who's the other tourney teams besides those 6? Arky and Missou, maybe?

Not if we keep playing like we have since we started SEC play. Could very easily be 0-6.

Egbunu just started practicing (limited) but my guess would be he doesn't play until February sometime. Late January is a possibility I guess however.

A&M is not going to turn the corner. Too much emotional damage

Would UK have interest in him.?

I think he would be a name on most lists these days, but probably too green for Kentucky at this point. That changes with another tournament run. But still, I think he is your guy for the foreseeable future.

No worry about the whole his dad is AD at Duke thing? I mean I guess while his dad is there he couldn't replace K because it would be a conflict of interest nepotism thing. But maybe his dad could do a retire and hire thing where dad would be out of the picture simultaneously orchestrating his sons hiring at Duke to replace K? Again this assumes Mike continues building success at Florida over the next few years. But it is something I worry about as Mike succeeds.

Not the Hogs unless we get our act together quickly. It has been rough first third of the conference season so far, hopefully we can turn it around.
