HIs record was lame but I guess the boosters never really liked him either, which is probably a bigger deal a lot of times.

That is where Rhule is in a good spot, boosters seems to like him, for now.

Other big jobs that could open: LSU. Oklahoma. Auburn. Wisconsin. Sark better be careful as well. How patient is Michigan if they drop a few more games? None of this accounts for coaches leaving for another job creating more openings. Weird times.

Where are all the new hires going to come from?

Another unintended consequence of NIL if you ask me. This thing called College Football is becoming a joke, and the insanity is accellerating.
It’s going to turn into nfl where coaches are all recycled through different programs. Fans will be perpetually mad with who the new hire is. Gonna suck

His win was a squeaker at home again a terrible team. And filled with just dumb mistakes, like not having 11guys on the field in special teams, really dumb penalties, getting play calls in too late and having to call TOs. He was booed off the field.

With a bye next week, it would’ve taken a miracle for him to have kept his job. And that game was anything but.

Rumors are floating that boosters have been meeting with the AD to figure out if they should can him or not.
Has something like a $60M buyout.

Penn State supposedly had a single booster pay for the Franklin buyout at $49M.

That is a crap ton of money to fire a guy, and then to hire a new guy at likely at least $10M per season.

Penn State has the money. Not sure that Florida State boosters will line up for that kind of cash.

I can only assume Mike Norvell at Florida State is next?

He is 0-10 in his last 10 games in the ACC.
Did you see the end of the Florida State at Stanford game last night? Watch it if you have not. Crazy ending. I think the Florida State player most likely got the ball across the goal line on the last play, but once it was called short there was not enough conclusive evidence to overturn the call.

Andrew Luck makes a great cheerleader.

Yeah, I don't know either. That is always the big question

If they haven’t already spoken to Alex Golesh they deserve to be terrible forever

Norvell and soon to be Fickel are just more examples in a LONG line of former AAC coaches who simply cannot make that jump to the big time. Scott Frost, Charlie Strong, Justin Fuente, Tom Herman, Chad Morris, Willie Taggart, Geoff Collins.

There might be others, but that's a bunch already. Don't these effing AD's do their due diligence? Its like, believe it or not, ONLY Kirby Smart is a Capricorn that has been a really successsful coach at the big time level. It would amaze you, that for whatever reason, Capricorn are lousy coaches. True. LOL

Better yet. First question from an AD to a head coaching resume'. "What's your sign?"

From what I think I may know.

Franklin's contract has a clause pertaining to the buy out.

Basically, look for another job, etc. Not different to our own coach's buy out from Carolina.

There may be a stipulation that he accept fair market value, whatever that may mean.

I suspect this donor story is same story as the Adidas $50m buy out story.

Fired after a win…..Florida AD must take advice from Stevie Pedersen and Shawn Eichorst
New normal. I do not like what is happening.

Too much money, no guard rails.

I hate it.

Someone grace me with an old man yelling at the sky meme please. I am too old and senile, I learned, to do this.

My hair has never been blue, but I may think about that.
