Well.. Florida dropped out of the rankings after like a week and a half.. so, yeah they aren't very good right now.
Yeah, they'll be much better by SEC play. Should know better than to write them off this early.
Blackshear is great. Florida was overrated. White is overrated as a coach imo. Wonder how long Florida will stick with him
It is early in the season. Who worries about rankings now. Evidently you do. It means nothing now. Fla has all the pieces and will be a hand full in the SEC this year.

Blackshear isn't **** compared to the new and improved junior Nick Richards and you can take that to the the bank! Blackshear had a choice he had 1 year and a chance to work hard everyday and go pro he chose to go play for White over John freaking Calipari how stupid was that decision?

Besides blackshear, florida is young like us. It's so early in the year ... blackshear has to get uses to his teammates as well. Florida will be a force come January and forward as will we.
Blackshear is good enough to play at UK as was Reid Travis. But there’s also a reason you are a grad transfer instead of being in the NBA!
That's now how this works.
You don't get to just assume a 14-loss Florida team is all the sudden good. Your team was hot dog **** last year, and adding Tre Mann and KB doesn't make them top5.

What does that have to do with anything? After Florida's first game people were saying Florida was over rated and not very good and that they were glad Blackshear did not come to UK, That he was not good enough. You can't judge a player or a team based on how they play in one game, especially this early in the year.
Dude I am a UK fan. Yes we lost to Evansville but people on here overreact to a loss or a victory this early in the year. The team, including Florida needs time to mesh. Florida has all the pieces to be a really good team and we will have to play our best to beat them.

My issue with Florida has ZERO to do with KB (who I still think will be a great player for them) and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that they lost 7 players from a 14-loss team last year.
Only Kentucky gets a top rank with that type of turnover, and it's because we bring in a **** ton of recruits.. not just Scottie Lewis and a bunch of multi-year recruits.

UF was what, 8th in the league last year and lost their 2 best players and best defender/rebounder. I'll believe they're a legit contender when I see it.
HUH ? what is this thread about ? UF is a good team but nothing special . They are beating a very overrated X team and have lost 2 games and will lose IMO 9-10 for the season . I do think they beat us in Gville though for one of our 3 more losses but don't understand the need for this thread.

Florida being given a lot of leeway by fans who would never give us that sort of benefit of the doubt. This team already has two loses and it's not even Thanksgiving.. thats not a top25 team.

I rarely say anything negative about UK. The only negative thing I have said is that Haggas has been making too many turnover and that was recently. He improved in that area in the last game.

I hope they are never ranked. What is frustrating is some posters on here talk bad about a player when he goes somewhere else and if UK loses a game the sky is falling. Cal can't coach after losing to Evansville. Florida is no good after losing a game, etc. It get ridiculous sometimes.

Florida will be a very good team in due time. They are learning to play together. Blackshear, Mann, Glover, Jitoboh, Payne, and Lewis are all new to the roster this year. It will take time for them to put it all together with Nemhard, Locke, and Johnson. They just beat a solid Xavier team and have only been together for a couple of months.
