I'm going with Goat here. At some point, taking so many DEs becomes a need issue. You can't neglect needs at QB & WR to sign another DE, and I don't care how good said DE is. You've got to improve your TEAM as opposed to improving one UNIT. And by signing so many DEs, it has me thinking Croom & Co. are incapable of signing legitimate players at need positions such as WR, so they just give up and sign another DE.

he's probably employing the old Miami/FSU way.. making DEs into quick DTs or if they're smaller, turn some of them into OLBs.</p>

will probably end up as DT with the proper weight training. Besides, a good pass rush makes up for other deficiencies in the defence. I say sign them up- 2-4 a year is fine.
