Recalling that after the early pick, Pat White ran around the left end and looked like he would get in for a TD, but just barely came up short. Then we missed the FG and Pitt got the ball back at the 20, still at 0-0. Then later Pat injured his finger(dislocated I think) on a snap and had to leave the game. Kinda similar. Too similar.

Anyway, it seemed like things were moving in slow motion on Grier’s finger-injuring run. By the way, it was a third down play— I think Holgorsen said it was second down, but it was third. I still would rather we have bullied it in up the gut.

Dana was upset. Whining and blaming the play caller. I remember RR also always keeping the backup ready to compete too. White and JB come to mind.
