You need to make your trolling a little less obvious if you want it to work.

So, what you're saying is if Dak pulls the classical "MState Senior Swoon" like Madkin or gets crippled by an opponent like Sleepy, we're good to go?

It didn't hurt ..

I watched the spring game again the other day and all I watched was Fitz and the two freshman running backs and I was impress with all three. Fitz is going to be good and that extra spring training he got is panning out now.

That he was an early enrollee, has been though two springs, bowl prep, and this is his second fall. Just hope it translates on the field.

You've got

to be the ONLY person that thinks this, given there is no major injuries to Staley and Fitzgerald.

Considering Williams was #2 last year I doubt I'm the only person that thinks this. We'll find out if I'm wrong soon though.

Have you

even kept up with our program under Dan? Did you expect to Redshirt Freshmens to be the backup, last year?

If Fitz or Staley aren't the starting QB in 2016, one of two things has happened; they either are both hurt or our staff has done a poor job at developing them. As of right now, it's hard to imagine the latter occuring.

Williams is a career backup. Nothing more, nothing less. They guy cannot throw the ball...at all. Did you not watch any of the games when he came in last season?

Fitz and Staley were true freshmen last year.

You should know better with this guy. He's just trying to get you to say mean things about Damian.

Yeah I meant

to just say they redshirted last year.

Regardless, one of these two guys will be the starter in 2016, boths redshirt so year.

It's no knock on Fitz or Staley by me. I simply haven't seen them in an actual game yet so history tells me Mullen will go with the veteran first. He did it with Perkins starting him over JRob. He did it initially with Tyler Russell starting him over Dak. He did it with Tyson Lee starting him over Relf. He did it with Chris Jones and Will Redmond choosing to start veterans over them. Williams is better than y'all are giving him credit for. He will start 2016 as our starting QB. If I'm wrong it'll be a good thing and I'm hoping that I am. We will see.

In the

two instances this happened w QBs, the incumbents were more talented at that time. This is not the case here.

It's likely that Williams wants to transfer and redshirting this year will give him two full years at wherever he transfers.

Guess I'm not following this logic. The only way that would seem to work is if Williams wants to transfer DOWN to an FCS school. I mean, unless he can get some hardship ruling, if he goes somewhere else he is going to have to sit out a year which will eat up a year of eligibility anyway if he has already used up his redshirt year. Would seem to me that he should play this year and then use the RS year while he sits out in the transfer to then play his 4th year. If he redshirts this year it would seem he would just lose a year on the field in the transfer. What am I missing here, does he want to play at a lower level? That would seem to me to be the only thing that would make redshirting this year make any sense if a possible transfer was the motivation.

I think maybe if he graduates this year he would not have to sit out.

I'm not absolutely sure, as I can't keep the transfer rules straight.
