After Fitz lawsuit is done...schill is gone and done at nu. He'll probably be a prof or assistant dean provost bullcrap position at some liberal arts College. But He'll have zero connection to nu other than the scars he left behind
From your lips to Allah/Yahweh/Jehovah/Gnash ears. Schill will surpass Rick Taylor and Kevin O’Neill as the worst hires in NU history.

You forgot the good doctor Gragg
Good point but I’m putting Schill at the top because his decision ruined a relationship with the school’s best most recognizable ambassador and will cost the school tens, potentially hundreds, of millions. Just epically bad.

Wasn't he the head of the University of Chicago's law school???

I am sure he'll make a very credible witness in the Fitz trial! NU should just settle now and be done with this train wreck. I wonder if Schill is wondering to himself how in the world he could have been so dumb to give any credence to what this kid said.
Bet he will be found quite credible. Can’t tell a lie.

[REDACTED]

I think they’ll settle for something close to Fritz’s original contract value. The contract just looks like this wasn’t covered under ‘for cause’. I doubt we’ll ever know the number.

The issues are that (1) NU didn’t follow their contractual protocol and (2) the contract had some particular provisions basically indexing Fitz’s compensation to the B1G market vs a stated dollar amount. It’s not as simple as “we would have paid you $X over the rest of your deal, will you take $Y just to make this all go away?” because the parties probably can’t even agree on $X.

Those posts puts things into perspective. It makes more sense now that I know those two two are also bible thumping Chrstian psychos. Fricken lying hippocrates.

Damn cappy - you ax my post but allow csc and corbi to openly denigrate the highly religious? Too bad CR isn’t Muslim, bet you would have quashed csc’s campaign then…. Must suck to be Jewish or Christian these days.

My post is gone too. All I said was that I don't understand what point Coral is trying to make and that I don't see what's wrong with Richardson posting those tweets. I didn't call anybody any names and I don't think I broke any rules.

Intolerance is running high in this country and apparently intolerance of the highly religious is fair game on this board. Criticism of such posts is not fair game. Not really a fair game. So here comes the ax again … 3,2,1…

Because it's probably the right thing to do, if you believe as I do, that Fitz was wrongfully terminated. Of course, there is also the possibility that NU will win the case based on evidence that no one on this Board is aware of.
You can “believe” Fitz was wrongfully fired…anyone can believe anything. But there’s no real evidence to support that. We may never know exactly what really happened with hazing. Fitz’ Col. Klink-like “I Know Nothing, Nothing!” position is implausible. The plaintiffs description of a widespread years-long hazing hellscape is likely overblown. The most we can say is: something likely happened and it wasn’t good. I say this as someone who admired Fitz and all he gave to Northwestern athletics.

You, like everyone else, are simply speculating as to what the evidence ultimately will establish. Thus, you've fallen into the trap of saying "something likely happened and it wasn't good." You may or may not be correct, but speculation just doesn't cut it in the legal world. The issue here is whether Fitz was appropriately fired for cause, and you don't know anymore about that than I do.

Not to rehash old history and before I get lost-not sure if that is a geographical lost or mental, while Fitz was a great coach for some years at the end as established by his lack of wins he lost what he had
Our team lost so our coach sucks

Well JON certainly sucked. We had no defense the two years he was DC and he was a Fitz hire. You can’t blame the team for that. And what ever happened to the philosophy that the head coach must bear ultimate responsibility. Guess that doesn’t apply to Saint Fitz.

I doubt you batted 1000 on all your hires. JON was bad, if the administration wanted to fire Fitz for performance, have at it. How they handled this was amateur hour.

You lose all credibility in your post by attributing "I know nothing" to Colonel Klink. If you get that wrong, I don't see how anyone can trust the accuracy of anything else you say. 🤣

Wait. Didn’t Fitz say that he did not know there was hazing occurring. Maybe he has a different definition of hazing

You’ve got me on that one. Mixed up Klink with Sgt. Schultz. Now who’s a dumb-kof???

For NU’s sake I think the Schill experiment needs to end. For such a prestigious and selective university he was selected???
Without knowing all the internal details of the process, I've heard through a source that basically his contract is not being renewed (or something to that effect) and he is likely to be gone after this year (I think). There wasn't really a good process to get him out earlier but the powers that be know that he needs to be replaced and so are aiming to do so at the soonest available time.

Thank you for the insight, if true they have a real opportunity to bring in a heavy-hitter as this is a prestigious position. I would have thought a president's contract would have been more than two years, but I have zero knowledge in that world.

If he is religious but he was bullied into participating in sexualized hazing rituals, I can understand why that would make him upset.

Not the case. Has only found the Lord as of late. Kid is a complete fraud who had a terrible affect on many, many lives. I’m “praying” they somehow get this guy on the stand…now that would be something. Maybe Lou or Matt can reach out for an interview request??

I'm sure I will get deleted, but here goes. Richardson doesn't carry a Cross, he hides in it's shadow, because he is the *****.
