That the offense had the ball with a slim lead or deficit in the 4th quarter needing to close a game out with a strong scoring drive and they did it not once, but twice. It was glorious and a good example of how far this offense has risen from the depths of despair just a couple of years ago.

Now, with that said, Rutgers might be the worst defense in the Big10. The offense still needs to improve and MG needs to make the makeables that he still misses at times, but it feels like they might have a shot to compete for the first time in awhile.

If Iowa’s defense is the worst, where does that put Rutgers?

Butgers defense is not the best but it is still hard to move the ball against blitzing 8 man fronts.

I would say it is was a big test that the offense handled very well. Not A or A+ but B or B+

They think and now maybe know they can move the ball

Each game has been an improvement after the ISU game. They just need to keep doing that. Get better every week.

The Iowa State game seems a long time ago in terms of progression of the offense. It seems apparent now that missing spring ball really hampered Gronowski early. Still missing some throws here and there but I really like his leadership and toughness.

Also thought Lester called a really good game and that gives me as much hope as anything. Like getting the tight ends more involved too. If we can get two halves of football from the defense this team has a chance to surprise.
