I,personally do not think we got an easy bracket. The South region is by far the easiest bracket.

34-0 doesn't care. Its not the easiest bracket, but imo, the Cats are going to make it look easy. I have a feeling we are going to be in for a real treat with some of the best basketball of the season. These players have been waiting to get up for THESE games since the season started and to make history by proving they are one of the, if not THE best team that college basketball has ever seen. Whether they say it on camera or not, doesn't matter...trust me, thats their goal and they are close enough they can taste it right now. Hang on, its gonna be a heck of a ride!

I wouldn't call it super easy,Maryland,Notre Dame, and Kansas aren't push overs (well,I doubt Kansas is this time around)

Several of the other teams are better than the dirty redbirds, but it looks better than last year did, anyway

I AIN'T SKEERED !!!!!

Iowa State is the toughest 3 seed.

Gonzaga is better than Kansas right now with Alexander being out.

Duke's 4 seed - Georgetown - should have been switched with Arkansas. That would have made the brackets pretty reasonable.

Notre Dame is a really good matchup for Kentucky. Yes, they have great shooting and penetration, but they have nothing down low. If Brey employs the strategy he used against Duke with no double down, Kentucky will destroy the Irish on the weak side rebounds. I'm not sure people are understanding the realities of what Notre Dame's style of play would offer a transition team like Kentucky. I think UK would score in the high 70s, low 80s, and really make Notre Dame's interior become a reluctant factor in order to win against Kentucky.

ND is good, but we were bound to get a couple of tough ones.

MD with 6 losses as a grossly underseeded 4 is my only real problem - they should be an E8 matchuip for a 1

But there's very little to complain about all in all
I thought the same thing about Maryland, but then I researched a bit and found they are actually behind the other 4 seeds (UNC, UL, Georgetown) in both BPI and Kenpom. They're just ranked higher in the polls because the B10 is much weaker than the ACC.

Our bracket is okay. Duke's is probably a little easier, but not by much. Truth be told, all the brackets are weak this year because the field in general is weak.

Caneintally is over-pumping the sunshine again I see.
Look, we don't have a tough bracket like last year but Maryland and ND won't be easy games. Heck, Purdue and Cincinnati, whichever one we meet, will give us a game for a little while.
I'd rather have the South bracket though.

WVU ? LOL . IU ? LOL .Maryland ?LOL and so on and so forth . there are 2 teams in our region who we might not beat by 20 - Witichita St and Notre Dame but we only gotta play one of them . SO how is that not easy as pie . DUke's is easy as well but i think there's is a tad harder due to Iowa St.
I have to agree. I'm sooo glad we got this bracket and I'm sure it will help us make some noise in the Tournament.

I agree with them. I don't think it is nearly as bad as last year, but I think it is the toughest. That being said, I like our chances.

Notre Dame winning the ACC tournament and Maryland runner up of the BIG10, I feel that the Midwest and East are comparable in strength, while the West is most difficult and the South is the weakest. Why is Notre Dame playing earlier than UK?????? That is a bummer!

I don't think there should be many complaints about our bracket. The following breakdown is my opinion and my opinion only. Therefore based on Rupp Rafter Rules, if you disagree with it then, well, you are wrong.

Kansas- Easiest 2 seed
Notre Dame- Probably toughest 3 seed.
Maryland- Underseeded based on record/ranking, but seeded about right in my eyes. I think they have been overrated all year. Good wins against Wiscy and ISU, but that's about it. They don't scare me too much. According to Kenpom, they are #56 in Offensive Efficiency, #36 in Defensive Efficiency, and #2 in Luck. That's 4 seed type numbers.
West Virginia- Only scary due to the history with the 09-10 season. Respectable 5 seed, but nothing to complain about.

If every seed holds true to form.. Kentucky in the sweet 16 will play an RPI 12, Wisconsin an RPI 11, Duke an RPI 19, Villanova an RPI 14

I really like our bracket and am confident going forward.

What I like even better is your Sabbath avatar (the 1st record I ever owned, as an 8 year old) and your screen name, the original is a hell of a guitarist and the Oz's best since RR.

GO CATS!!!
