If you are going to hire a UK legend , why not hire Tony Delk, he has coaching experience, bleeds blue and I’d take him over Justus’s in a heart beat. I would keep Bruiser, hasn’t been here long enough to get a read on how effective he will be , plus he has had some success as a coach. Cal also needs to pull out all the stops to keep any returning players on the roster, granted most weren’t very good this year but I expect 1 or 2 WILL be better next year, plus it would go a long way toward stopping the total reset we do every year and provide some roster stability we desperately need. Finally he needs to do whatever it takes to get a transfer that can do a competent job at the point .

I thought the same thing reading this. You can bet his opponent has scouted his team and watched hours of film. This may be a reason Calipari has struggled in prime time games and come up short when he had the superior players. In 2015 Wisconsin knew everything about UK and Caliapari. I doubt the same could be said for Calipari and UK players. Just one example.

Absolutely. Wisky scouted us not for days or a week. They scouted us ALL season. They knew they were gonna have to face us.

It took one of the best offensive teams of the modern era, the revenge factor, scouting us for a year, several terrible calls, everything going their way and some awful coaching to barely beat that 2015 squad. Man, what a team. Still makes me ill. Sickening.

2. He failed as head coach...that is not what we are looking for.

I agree with these points..

If hes gonna stay and collect millions he needs to earn those millions not steal them. Once the season is over he needs to evaluate alot of things.

Letting go of Barbee and Justice seem like the most logical moves first and foremost.

Looking at Antigua again would seem like a great start. I'm sure there are a ton of assistant options out there but Antigua knows what UK basketball is about.
Hes done a great job coaching big men at Illinois and he probably only makes around 500,000.. Give him a call and a Kenny Payne money.

Getting Derek in here would be a good move as well. (Cal, Antigua, Bruiser, Lucas, Anderson)

He needs to evaluate himself as well. His sideline coaching and recruiting are getting worse every year. He really needs to determine if he still wants to do this because it appears he has coasted into mediocrity as a coach.

He has to make changes for our sake. If he does not then the the president and ad must step up. Too much money being thrown out there for this kind of outcome.

Anderson has tons of high level playing experience and MOST importantly he knows what it means to wear the jersey. As good as those boys were in 96-97 they played for the name on the front. Players first mantra and Cal flipped it and we haven't been the same program since he said it.

Go to a coaching a clinic and learn something about basketball.
