Seth Greenburg was on ESPN this morning saying Duke didn't improve over the season and just relied on Zion to do whatever and then on to the next play

He essentially accused Coach K of rolling the balls out.

Funny no one was saying that after they won the ACC tournament.

He also said now they are out of the tourney its no long DSPN or ZSPN

It’s relatively accurate. One of the stumbling blocks of having a truly dominant player. I think Cal did a fantastic job with Davis and Towns’ teammate development when they were at Kentucky. He’s a strong enough coach and developer of talent to recognize the team needs additional coaching when there’s one guy who can take over every game.

I don’t watch ESPN at all but couldn’t resist today. Stephen A Smith roasting K for no development of Reddish, I guess the other dude is Max Kellerman calling out K and saying Cal took his team as far. On the earlier show, Jalen was sitting there just glowing.

Jay Williams couldn’t really defend it. Did say Reddish should stay in school. Said the G league is the hardest place to play and that is where Reddish will be. You are going to be on 12 hour bus rides; playing against grown men who are fighting for their basketball lives; coaches who don’t have time to develop you etc. That is the message that Cal appears not to get thru to our marginal players.

I am sure Bilas and Vitale are being scrambled to salvage this dumpster fire.

K would retire this year if he wasn't trying to stay as long as he can and pad is all time wins total.

Seth must have money stashed away for retirement because he will soon be out of a job !

I'd never heard the term DSPN before

but clearly ESPN talking heads are hearing it from the fans

He won't retire.. but I would not be shocked at all if he did within a year. He has to be thinking about what he loses (Zion, RJ, Cam, maybe others), what he gains (Carey), and how much of an uphill battle it will be next year.

I love how he said the NCAA isn't ready to let-go of the 1AD model.. wonder if he still feels that way now that he lost with it.

very surprised to hear Coach K defend the OAD and say it should end

I would have thought he'd been against it even though he appears to be benefiting from it.

Saying he is not as good as advertised. Skeptical shot. Disappears too much etc. The whole panel was adamant that he needs another year of school.

I have no idea, but Reddish was getting heat about how he handled the knee situation and apparently he missed another game due to flu like symptoms that had some eyebrows raised

last thing I want is a bunch of Duke fans calling me out - I'm just repeating what I heard on sports radio.

I get it. I don't know the 1st damn thing about Reddish's game. I am simply repeating what was said on ESPN. They are roasting K for zero development of Reddish.

Stephen A. doesn't think too highly of Reddish after not playing. Then I guess he played 37 minutes against MSU and had 2 buckets. Stephen A was not a fan.

Jay Williams sat there like his dog had died.

Jalen Rose on the earlier show--I don't want to be that guy that told you so but I am that guy. Called out Jay Williams for saying Duke could beat the subs of the Cavs. Jay just took it.

There's going to be alot of talk. puke getting beat will help college basketball in general. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the 3-pointer and shot clock proves once again , it has changed the game. FCC.

Well hell they have to have someone to blame , you dam sure know the Rat Face bastard will not take any blame, and ZSPN wont let Zion get blamed or Barrett to a lesser extent ! So Reddish is the fall guy !

"Jay Williams sat there like his dog just died." Wow. That's about as sad as one can get.

1. A top 10 pick ain't spending the entire year in G-League....Reddish is a long sharpshooter at worst.
2. Before Reddish ever got to Duke the rub on him was low motor kid....and he played right to that description. He was basically relegated to a standstill shooter off the Zion/Barrett action.
3. Reddish looks a lot like a Otto Porter kind of prospect who is a good player but not an elite guy on any level.

Kids should take a huge notice of how Reddish, Duval, Frank Jackson, etc...all have not progressed at Duke.
